According to a recent study by the National Cancer Institute even people who smoke less than one cigarette a day are nine times more likely to die of lung cancer than people who don't smoke.

22.01.2022 The Blushwood Tree which only grows in the Atherton Tablelands near Cairns could become the source of a powerful cancer treatment. A chemical compound found in the plants seeds known as EBC-46 has been isolated and tested as an anti-cancer drug in human clinical trials with great results. The drug successfully treated four different types of tumours, melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and breast adenocarcinoma, with tumours disappearing in as little as 48 hours. Whilst the drug is still in an experimental stage and needs approval from the TGA it is looking very promising.
