20.01.2022 Vacancy - Electrician The Role : An exciting opportunity exists for an electrical role in the Pilbara with a small owner operated Electrical Contracting business based in Tom Price. It is essential the candidate has a background in the electrical contracting discipline with experience in the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial / Mining sectors.... Preference would be to have some refrigeration and or data / communication or Electric drive HME experience but not an essential requirement. Upon agreement the role will be on a trial basis for a 3 month period to ensure the incumbent is aligned with the company goals and Pilbara lifestyle as this is important for the ongoing success of the business. This position is available as either a residential or FIFO role. There would be an expectation of out of hours availability to attend to customers’ requirements and some weekend work depending on business workload. There may be times where working away from base is also required as the Pilbara is a large area and safety is paramount to the business. As a small business it is important the successful person is business orientated, customer focused and displays a good work ethic with personal safety and compliance to Standards as a priority at all times. The Reward: A generous salary consummate to the experience will be negotiated with any successful applicant. An ideal opportunity to live and work in the Pilbara with the family and enjoy the experience with the proximity of the Karijini National Park, Millstream National Park and the beautiful Coral Bay and Exmouth areas for fishing and camping within the local area. The Opportunity: This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and motivated person with the ability to work independently or as a team in a small business environment that has the potential to expand and provide fantastic opportunities to the right person. The opportunity to live with the family and work in the Pilbara region where a variety of diverse options exist in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors of the electrical industry will be the challenge. 13.01.2022 Electrical Safety Tips 1. Turn appliances off prior to unplugging or plugging in to the wall socket. 2. Plug in and unplug appliances holding the plug not by the flexible cord. 3. If the plug is tight in the socket withdrawal plug with a up & down motion not side to side.... 4. In the event of a electric shock ALWAYS see your doctor within 24 hours & report it to your local power authority. 5. Always use a expert to service any electrical appliances and wiring. See more

03.01.2022 The start of the new year is a great time to check your smoke alarm is in working condition. We recommend photoelectric smoke alarms over ionisation smoke alarms as they are more advanced at detecting smoke from smouldering fires.
