25.01.2022 The Containment Project Ive been contemplating this project for far too long, but Ive finally managed to get it off the ground. The Containment Project brief is pretty simple. Over the years Ive curated a relatively humble but passionately loved collection of vintage and classic instruments, and the challenge I have set for myself is to produce pieces that not only showcase each instrument in the collection but utilise it exclusively (where possible).... It's a great way to explore each keyboard's personality and abilities, whilst forcing myself into a bit of creativity at a time when it's all too tempting to stay in bed re-watching Breaking Bad and drinking whiskey (not that there's anything wrong with that). Anyway, you can read more about the project here - http://www.composuremusic.com.au/the-containment-project.ht The Soundcloud link is near the bottom of the page. I've kicked off the project with some Giorgio Moroder-inspired synth-pop featuring the humble Korg Poly 800 (created in part to thank Atom Smasher of synthmod.net for his infamous "Moog-Slayer" mod!) Enjoy PS the 128k mp3 stream sounds a bit shite - happy to make the high-res file available, it sounds pretty good!

25.01.2022 Something old, something new.

18.01.2022 Had a great time hanging out with Michael Spiby and the lovely The Badloves team today, talking vintage keyboards and playing around with a couple of Crumar Mojos. #Crumar #Mojo #Mojo61 #TheBadloves

17.01.2022 Composure Music Australia is super proud to be supporting this event - we will be providing a Crumar Seven Electric Piano and a Mojo 61 to make things extra funky. So keyboard players, get along and check out these two amazing instruments in a great gig setting. #Crumar

16.01.2022 Studio tetris, anyone?

15.01.2022 Huge shout-out to Celemony - having finally made the leap from Pro Tools 8 to 12 (I know) I enquired about an upgrade path (RTAS->AAX) for my Melodyne license - purchased in 2008! An hour later they had replied with a new serial number AND bumped me up a product level. Brilliant product (far superior to Autotune IMHO) and SUPER customer service

13.01.2022 Throwing a little Crumar Instruments party at Hot Bias studio. Rhodes and A100 looking slightly resentful.
