15.01.2022 Computer Forge Overseer Mk II first build complete. It's no secret that I have always liked the Thermaltake Overseer RX-I case, it's my favourite gaming case. I have always thought it would benefit from a larger window though so I decided to give it one. The side panel was cut with a water jet, giving it a perfect edge and eliminating the need for amateur looking conduit to hide a rough cut. The window is 2mm polycarbonate, fastened to the panel using the original fasteners... from the old window, giving it a "straight from the factory" look. The Overseer has some blue on the front panel and drive bays and also comes with two 200mm blue LED fans so I decided to stick to a blue theme for the build. The goal was to produce a nice looking, blue themed, mid to high spec, 4K ready custom gaming system for around $3K. As promised, here are some pics and full specs. 12.01.2022 Another 4.6GHz i5 Z97 R9-290 8GB gaming system delivered to customer on Friday. I really enjoyed this build. I got to use a Thermaltake Overseer RX-I case again, my favorite gaming case, well worth the extra few dollars. I managed to get an Asus R9-290 DCII OC on special which looks fantastic paired with the Asus Z97-A motherboard.... I also got a great price on some 2400MHz memory which looks great and adds to the impressive specs of this machine: 4.6GHz @ 1.29V All cores 4.4GHz @ 1.34V Cache 2400MHz 10-12-12-31 @ 1.7V Memory Aida64 8 hours stable under 70 degrees. A superb gaming system assembled, overclocked and delivered for under $2K and a very happy customer :)
