22.01.2022 Telstra (Bigpond) are still experiencing email issues with no end in sight as yet. This is a screenshot of their outages page updated very recently. So if you are experiencing email issues save yourself some time and money as there is no fix for the moment. There is a possibility of logging into online webmail but not with Google Chrome use Edge. Firefox. Old faithful Internet Explorer or another browser and you may have some luck, kindest regards Keith.

21.01.2022 Please let anyone having problems with Telstra or Bigpond emails that the problem is at the Telstra end and not their computer so don't waste time trying to contact Telstra. 12 hours ago This is on the Telstra outages page under email faults. "Telstra will be carrying out network updates on the Telstra Mail platform. You may not be able to send or receive email during this time. Update began August 10th at 8.26am, update to be complete: TO BE CONFIRMED". SERIOUSLY???? Ans at a point in time when so many are working from home and others relying on emails for various communiques etc. What a joke, regards Keith.

16.01.2022 Alas the time has come the Walrus said - another downside to this Covid kerfuffle has been that during this period technology has leapt ahead and suppliers took the opportunity to deplete all their old stock and restock with the latest components and computers. With that in mind it is becoming impossible to fix or repair older computers unless you wish to buy off Ebay (most likely from overseas) which I won't do as I have no quality assurance or fallback in case of component ...failure and wait times can be up to 4 weeks or more. And secondly for years I have spent hours trying to keep people's old faithful running and not charged nearly enough as the computer wasn't worth the effort. Time is becoming more precious with every passing day so I intend making every moment count and this page will be coming down at the end of the month. If you need my help or expertise you will find me. A big thanks to those that have stuck with me over the years and I'll still be around but probably just a bit more relaxed in future, as always kindest regards Keith. See more

08.01.2022 Hi Folks, as predicted the amount of bogus phone calls and scams are on the increase. I don't know how many times I have to say it but no "BIG" company gives a rat's a**e about your computer and will not ring you to fix the "PROBLEM" that doesn't exist in the first place unless YOU allow them remote access THEN you have a big PROBLEM!!!!!....... I hope all tech savvy people will advise relatives and friends to hang up on these scumbags and certainly do not respond or enter an...y details into links provided by email. If compromised remember your first phone call is to your bank and or credit card companies and follow their advice - after that you will need the help of someone like myself to check and clean your computer to prevent any further damage being done. Stay Safe and remember I'll still be around - just living quietly back in the shadows and with my music, God Bless and kindest regards always, Keith (or Sully). See more

04.01.2022 Unfortunately there is no end in sight yet for Telstra and Bigpond email issues with finish date still to be confirmed. Apparently they are having severe technical issues with one of their main servers. The lowlifes are taking advantage of that and I have had had 5 phone calls supposedly from "Telstra" asking to remote login to my computer to "fix" the problem. They soon hang up as soon as I ask which computer as I have 5 or 6 running most of the time. And stuff me if my Amaz...on account hasn't been cancelled 6 times now (not that I ever had an Amazon account. The more "they" push us towards doing more and more online the dangers of scumbags and conartists increases as well so be extremely cautious and realise that Microsoft, Telstra and any other companies do not care if your computer is playing up or infected - you will just be blocked from sites (ie banks etc) if they detect any trace of viral activity on your computer when you are trying to login. Also the time is approaching when parts to fix your old favourite computer is coming to an end - older parts are becoming harder to find and more expensive as a result. Instead of spending money on repairing an old computer with old parts (old because they don't make them anymore and it is only what is left that is available) ensure you have all your photos, data etc backed up and possibly start looking at upgrading to a newer machine. Technology is improving rapidly but don't be caught out by the "cheap" computers advertised all around - something even halfway decent is still going to cost more than just a few bucks. Keep safe on the net and be double wary of any socalled "Technicians" ringing from anywhere, as always, kindest regards Keith. See more
