25.01.2022 Tip of the day #179 It's a good idea to set your wallpaper to rotate to a different picture at intervals of 30 minutes or less to prevent display burn in. You can find links below that explain how to access wallpaper options on Mac & Windows. 24.01.2022 Tip of the day #192 This is a timely reminder in that iOS 14 has just been released, in general it is best to hold off installing major upgrades on any device for at least a week or so after a new update is pushed out especially if you run a business & your devices are required to run your business. This period of time allows a little time for any major bugs to be ironed out & it also gives the developers that makes the apps you use valuable time to ensure they are working with the new upgrade. Most importantly though before doing any update make sure you backup your device.

24.01.2022 Tip of the day #181 If you are having trouble playing an older game on Windows it is a good step to install the legacy Directx components using the link below. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=35 Edit: sorry guys Facebook is a bit keen & posted the tip before I finished it.

23.01.2022 Tip of the day #188 if you are trying to get video to playback through the USB port on a DVD player the USB flash drive & the video file itself has to be in the correct format, the USB flash drive needs to be formatted using the MBR partition scheme & the FAT32 file system, the video should be using the AVI container & should contain a video stream in the XVID or DivX format & a audio stream in the MP3 format, lastly the video resolution should be set to 720540. If you need any help with this process feel free to message the page.

22.01.2022 Tip of the day #198 with the fast approaching release of macOS 11 it's a good time to touch on checking whether the apps you use everyday are compatible with the new version, this tip doesn't just apply to macOS though this applies to all systems, before you upgrade any computer or device always make sure the apps you use on a daily basis are compatible with the new version & always make a backup. Generally to find out if a app is compatible with the new version you simply do a Google search using the name of the new version followed by or proceeded with the name of the app you want to check for compatibility with. If in doubt always feel free to send us a message.

21.01.2022 Tip of the day #200 There is a common misconception that installing more than one anti malware app increases security, examples of anti malware apps include anti virus, anti spyware, internet security & firewalls. Installing more than one of these actually decreases security as they tend to fight against each other, there are some small exceptions. If you are not sure what anti malware solution is best for your setup feel free to contact us.

21.01.2022 Please share this as much as possible guys. Tip of the day #177 Don't get us wrong guys we aren't advocating for bigotry, however we do believe that the new Facebook terms of service go too far in censoring free speech. We understand that generally the public doesn't read terms of service, seriously who wants to read a heap of legal mumbo jumbo but we highly suggest everyone reads Facebooks updated terms of service & pay particular attention to section 3.2 as this update may result in people's accounts being shut down a lot more often for simply venting about something they disagree with & if you are for a open & free internet as we definitely are then this is a threat to that. The link to the new terms is below, we insist you check it out. https://m.facebook.com/terms.php

11.01.2022 Tip of the day #191 Did you know when you format a hard drive or flash drive 9 times out of 10 the data is still on the drive? All the format does is makes the computer forget about where the information is stored on the drive, this is problematic because it allows easy data recovery. To properly format a drive you need to do something called a zero out, as this task can lead to irreversible data loss we won't provide the instructions here but if you believe that you need to do a full format on your device before you sell it please contact us to discuss how to do so.
