As they say copying out of someone elses book is a sure way to fail. I see this being a potential issue in the years to come for some very simply reasons; . USES + EXPECTATIONS... . What will a residential basement be used for? You see, typically commercial basements are used for carparks and the like and there is little expectation for perfection and some water ingress is tolerated in these spaces. Residential basements on the other hand might house things like an office, theatre room, pool room etc with the owners carrying a very different set of expectations . Looking at the issue in this light I beleive traditional methods used will not meet the expectations of residential home owners in their many years of ownership .
