10.01.2022 We have been overwhelmed by the love and support shown by everyone with the launch of our new recruitment businessTHANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU or should we say xie xie (thank you in Chinese) Tonight, we look at the top 3 questions we have been asked about teaching in China and Hong Kong....please add your questions in the comments or PM us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. 1. Do you need to speak Chinese? ... No, to teach English not at all, in all the schools we worked in we had Teaching Assistants (TA's) and office staff that help you. With respect to getting around, it’s useful to have the basics (where is? can I have? HELP?, toilet...and of course thank you and hello)we will assist you with the basics before you go 2. What qualifications do I need? To hold a (Z) working visa in China you need to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, a 120 hour online TESOL course...we have a link to the one we recommend and a combined total of 2 years working in any job. So if you worked at Coles or in a Pub collectively for 2 years before applying that is all you need.EASY 3. What if I’ve never taught before? Both Duane and I are trainers as well as teachers ourselves, we taught new Native English Speakers (N.E.T.S) to teach in the schools where we worked in both China and Hong Kong , so that is not an issue. Apart from that, there will be training at the schools and you will be assigned a training teacher also...We will arrange a weekend orientation for new recruits/teachers where we will walk you through EVERYTHING and more to be prepared..it’s all about confidence and few tricks up your sleeves .We believe if you have the rapport and engagement with the children we can teach you to teach. Later in the week, we will look at another of the top 3 questions, so keep the questions coming.our next big 3 will include: 1. How much do you get paid and how often? 2. What was the biggest culture shock? 3. What do you do in a typical day of teaching?
