11.01.2022 Throughout this week we will be sharing Jade’s incredible story. At the age of 26, Jade was diagnosed with antenatal cardiomyopathy and only just four months after giving birth to her beautiful daughter Lilly, Jade suffered a severe stroke that left her half paralysed. With limited access to resources and funding, Jade was left bed bound for over 6 years. In that 6-year period, Jade never left her room. She never saw the sun and never got to take her daughter out for a walk.... When we at #conceptcare heard about Jade’s story, we could not sit back and do nothing. In 2018, we started working with Jade alongside the #NDIS and #alliedhealthprofessionals to make sure we got Jade out of bed, and start the long road towards recovery and improving her overall quality of life. Jade now has a wheelchair which she can use to access the community and accompany her daughter to school. She now has an amazing team of #careworkers from #conceptcare who assist her with #personalcare and #domesticassistance. It has taken a big team and a lot of hard work to get Jade to where she is now, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
