10.01.2022 Pork Barrelling - Is the Premier & the LNP [Liberal & National Party] guilty of this rather despicable means of trying to win an election? On Wednesday 6th February 2019, on a flying visit to Orange, NSW, the Premier made a conditional promise to fund a $25M sporting precinct BUT - only if voters in Orange returned the marginal seat to the LNP at the upcoming state elections. The LNP lost this electoral seat in 2016 after holding it for 70 years! However, this Premier has made it quite clear that any future prosperity in an electorate is directly associated with the LNP’s own political gain. This Premier has assured everyone time and time again that the state is now flash with cash and - why wouldn’t it be? This Premier and her LNP Government has sold most of the farm (NSW) - including LPI - the very lucrative former government owned and trusted land titles registry (formerly the Registrar Generals Office) to their LNP backers! Since the privatisation of LPI they have sat idly by whilst the integrity of the land title system and all former wonderful services provided to the Public, State & Local Instrumentalities, Conveyancers (incl Solicitors) and Surveyors have already gone or are being destroyed - See former CTG Posts and read: https://www.smh.com.au//boom-time-for-nsw-state-s-growing- It must be obvious to the people of Orange, Wagga Wagga and any other regional or metropolitan electorate not controlled by the LNP, that if the LNP wins the upcoming election without their support, they will be left out, if not now, then in the future! Isn’t this the actions of a Dictator! What country are we in? Does anyone seriously believe NSW deserves to continue to suffer under such a Premier and a government that endorses such behaviour?
