23.01.2022 Hello everyone and a Happy and Healthy New Year to each and everyone of you. I'v just got back home (Perth) and I am really looking forward to sharing some on my beautiful photos and experiences during my recent 3 glorious months in Italy. For me of course, this trip was mostly about growth and self nurturing. The time away also allowed me to clarify further the connection between the past and the now. The trip opened many doors, allowing me to meet lots of great peop...le and I was fortunate enough to make some wonderful new friendships. I had sooo much fun, I spoke Italian and Sicilian all day long, I ate gelato twice a day!!! and loved it. I strengthened old relationships, got my hands dirty helping in communities that matter to me, learnt more about my heritage and the Italian culture and new and diverse ways to live life and to top it all off Brian joined me for a short while too. During this entire experience I rubbed shoulders with some great Italian cooks, ate in some fantastic street markets and restaurants, bought a fresh catch of fish directly from a fisherman still standing in his boat in a small fishing village on the Amalfi coast, managed water jugs for all the tables during a dinner service at San Patrignano for 1400 people.... FOOD, FOOD AND GLORIOUS FOOD. I look forward to sharing with you, my passion for food and improved recipes over the next while and mostly, seeing some of you guys very very soon. X See more

21.01.2022 Da... da....daaaa !!!!!!! The most DELICIOUS PHOTO ... prize, goes to Ami Wei Yong ! ! ! CONGRATULATIONS AMI !!! Looks soooooooo delicious xxx and thank you to everyone who also participated in our most DELICIOUS PHOTO competition, of dishes cooked from the Cugini in Cucina Cookbook. We received so many beautiful photos and have been blown away from the feedback we have also received from those who have been cooking dishes from our traditional Sicilian-Style recipe book. We thought writing the cookbook was a wonderful experience and opportunity, but nothing has topped it off more, than knowing that you guys have not just supported us, but are truly enjoying the Sicilian cooking experience too. Thanks again to all of YOU.... and Ami of course. We will be in touch soon, to give you your prize Ami - a chilled case of Italian Prosecco.

13.01.2022 2016 Italian Sausage Day with the family was special this year and every year in fact, that we have been making home made salami together. We had so much fun, food and family time and we were also joined by family in Canberra, over skype this year as well. Who knows! family in Victoria may also join us (skype) in 2017. In the meantime, plenty of salami to get us all through and remember to look out for Salami making classes starting in May 2017!!

06.01.2022 INCREDIBLE MOMENTS ! As part of the process of creating a book, in our case the Cugini in Cucina Cookbook, we were required to register it, but also make a copy... available to the State Library... Here's Concetta, doing just that ! This was an incredible moment for us. What started out as a legacy to pass on stories of our beautiful Sicilian heritage and our family recipes to our children - has surpassed our wildest expectations.

05.01.2022 Brian and I managed to make some beautiful and very fresh ricotta cheese tonight. Memories of my mother making it for the family came flooding back with my first bite! Delicious and so fortunate Brian is as passionate about food as I am

01.01.2022 It’s important to thoroughly clean the squid when preparing for this dish, but take care not to puncture the flesh in the process.
