24.01.2022 The beautiful snowflake pendant is a light and simple way to keep a piece of winter with you through the summer months!
22.01.2022 Hello. It’s time to get your geek on! As a massive geek myself, of course I have a geekish range. ... Baby dragon key rings, and bookmarks as well. And dice in key rings, earrings, and a necklace attachment! All the dice are removable. You can still get them out to use in games. And by changing the dice, you get a whole new look! The necklace is personal favourite. Not only does it hold a full 7 piece set, completely removable, but the back strap is as bracelet. Add the dice holder to any bracelet for a new look. Or leave the dice at home and wear it around your wrist. Embrace your nerdy side and let your geek flag fly. And make sure you’re always prepared for surprise games of Dungeons and Dragons! (It has actually happened to me. I wasn’t expecting a game, but with my trusty necklace I was prepared and ready to go!)
21.01.2022 Hello! And happy 2020! Once again, my apologies for just how bad I am at regular updates. My resolution for this year is to fix that. I thought to start the new year I’d show off a personal project I’ve been making on and off for the last 4 months!... An armoured arm guard. Over 4,600 rings! It’s been a lot of work, but I think it was worth it. That’s all for today. More pretties next week!
21.01.2022 Sir Arthur #Conchobear is almost ready to greet the day. Just as soon as he’s finished his coffee. What shall I make today? He wonders? Let’s see where inspiration takes him. ... #conchobarschainmaillecreations #conchobearsholiday
18.01.2022 All set up at the Twilight Christmas Market. Come on down for some great Christmas bargains!
17.01.2022 Hello! I know. I’m terrible at updates. Earlier today I did a bulk upload of a lot of my stock. Over the next few weeks I’ll be posing updates looking at them all in more detail. I. Having a little difficulty getting them all moved into the correct albums, it looks like that requires a computer instead of my tablet, so I’ll get that sorted in the near future. There’s not too much news lately. I’ve had a few markets, with a few more coming. Details on all markets will be pos...ted in the next few days. Entries to the Royal Easter Show have opened. I’ve spend a fair amount of time working on my entry. I’ve also spent a fair amount of time questioning what possessed me to come up with this plan for my entry! Once again, more details in future updates. That’s about it for today. Not much at the moment, but lots to come. See you all soon!
16.01.2022 Hello all. An important announcement, Conchobar’s Chainmaille Creations will be on hiatus until October. My brother-in-law is getting married, so we’re off to England! I’ll still be making stuff, and you can still order stuff, but nothing will be sent out until October. But I’m not going to stop making! So keep watching for English maille!

13.01.2022 Hello! Two weeks in a row, I’m approaching a record here! Today I want to talk about customisation. ... I say that all my items are customisable and most people think colour and length. Sometimes that you can get this style of keyring but with that charm instead. All of these are true, but that’s just scratching the surface! There’s a lot of options in the pattern itself. Here’s an example. 5 key rings. All of them are a single unit of Byzantine. (Ok, the bottom one is two units, but it was too short otherwise!) The top one is made in 14G 5/16. 14G means that the wire is 1.6mm thick. And 5/16 is the inner diameter. The inside of the ring is 5/16 of an inch wide, or 7.94mm. The thicker wire gives a chunkier feel, while the large ring size gives it a loose, open feel. The next two are both 16G 1/4. So 1.2mm thick, and 1/4 inch, or 6.35mm inner diameter. It’s still a larger size ring for this weave, so it’s still quite open. But it’s definitely smaller than the 14G. Most of my work is in 16G. Of course, what you’ll likely have noticed is that the silver one is made of square wire. They’re exactly the same size, but one has a square cross section while the other has found. The square adds a harder, harsher look to it. Down to the blue one. This is also 16G, but it’s 3/16 inches, or 4.76mm diameter. As you can see, this tightens up the weave. Less empty space and a denser look. And finally right at the bottom we have 20G 5/32. 0.8mm thick, and 3.97mm across. Small and dainty, while still a loose size. There you have it. 5 key rings, identical in pattern, yet so different based on ring sizes, thicknesses, and cross section. So if you ever see a piece and it’s almost perfect, send me a message and ask! Chunkier, daintier, denser, looser. However you like it, I want to remove the almost and make it perfect! That’s all for now. See you all next week.
13.01.2022 I spy with my little eye, something shiny! A lovely #rosetta bracelet with a #dragon head clasp. And some big wheel in the background!... #conchobear #chainmaille #maille #jewellery #handmade #handmadejewelry #conchobarschainmaillecreations #conchobearsholiday #londoneye #ferriswheel
12.01.2022 Finally adding my recent works
10.01.2022 Quarrying is tough work. Sir Arthur #Conchobear thinks he’ll stick with jewellery! This photo was taken in the early portions of the Catacombes, which is made of old quarry tunnels, and has no remains. Out of respect for the dead, no bear photos were taken in the ossuary. #conchobarschainmaillecreations #conchobearsholiday #quarry #pariscatacombs
07.01.2022 Hi all. Thought I’d give you something extra. This is what I’ve called my December Box. Everything in there has been made since the start of December. It has bracelets, earrings, key rings, bookmarks, necklaces, even cuff links!... But what exactly is there? One way to find out! My first market for this year is Saturday night at Castle Hill Showgrounds. Come on down and see what’s new!
