12.01.2022 FOR THE FALLEN With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children England mourns for her dead across the sea, Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit, ... Fallen in the cause of the free. Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres, There is music in the midst of desolation And glory that shines upon our tears. They went with songs to the battle, they were young, Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow, They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. They mingle not with their laughing comrades again, They sit no more at familiar tables of home, They have no lot in our labour of the daytime, They sleep beyond England's foam. But where our desires and hopes profound, Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight, To the innermost heart of their own land they are known As the stars are known to the night. As the stars shall be bright when we are dust, Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain, As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness, To the end, to the end, they remain. Written by Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943)

04.01.2022 Breakfast in bed

04.01.2022 It was a tough day today saying goodbye to the best cowgirl horse a girl could ever know. I call him a cowgirl horse because I know a couple of cowboys that took unscheduled dismounts off him over the time but I could never have asked for a better mate he would have walked through fire for me if it meant I was safe. I will forever love his quirky antics and big sense of humour which will always make me smile. He has helped me educate many babies and riders over the years, be...en my partner, hugged me when I was sad and got up to many adventures chasing cattle and brumbies in rough country. He will be the horse that Hoffie will never live down as the kids sing George, George, George of the Jungle, watch out for that tree to him This beautiful boy has captured many hearts over the years and will cherish his place in the world and the heart he now holds. ..I may have cried a liitle today but I have also smiled just as much too, memory lane is a long journey filled with love and laughter with this one.

04.01.2022 We had this cute little visitor this week, now to see if he will be quiet enough to be a thearpy pet.

01.01.2022 One thing I have learnt through the years is to never stop caring for people or horses because if you do you can not make a difference, it is impossible to help every person or every horse, no matter how much we want to but making that difference for one person or one horse at a time can change their whole world. Chances is a project that came about 7 years ago to share some of the work we do at Concise Equestrian Centre with people, it has been a very private part of me and ...some of the less known or understood work I do but I feel it is time to share some of the journeys to a better life these guys have travelled. This passion to make a difference was sparked in me as a child with horses that my parents took on over the years and they became some of my best friends, their hearts larger than life for the love that we gave them. I have been blessed to have the ability to make a difference in many horses lives over the years and help these guys find their way in the world. This work will forever continue on, if you would like to follow the journeys of some of the more recent ones please feel free to check out the fb group Concise Equestrian Centre Chances, as long term care babies have moved to their forever homes we will be helping new ones find their way in the world. I believe every horse deserves love, kindness and a chance at an extraordinary life.
