25.01.2022 Well done to everyone from Concordia Lutheran College who has participated in #jumpropeforheart this year. See below a message to Concordia from Jen from the Heart Foundation announcing how much money has been raised by the College...it's impressive!! Many thanks to Mr Fry for coordinating this across both Junior College campuses.

23.01.2022 Our Year 12 students have shown tremendous dedication to their studies this week, attending the various tutorials both in person and online in preparation for their upcoming external assessment. A big shout out to our wonderful Year 12 teachers who are volunteering their time during the school holidays to work with their students during this extremely important time. This support is being provided at no additional cost to students and their parents...because learning is at th...e heart of everything we do. #schoollife #examprep #toowoombaschool #toowoombaregion #queenslandsbestkeptsecret

23.01.2022 When we were creating our www.concordiavirtual.com.au online Open Day website, we asked our staff and students to show our personality. This is what we got from the Technology department... For more gems like this, make sure you check out the website. There is so much fun and we think it really shows our true spirit.

10.01.2022 HSC’s Festival of Learning. Year 1 students learnt all about chickens, their life cycles and designed their own chicken coops. Watch out Mr Engler, next we want a real one.

06.01.2022 This is Shakespeare’s classic with a modern spin!

05.01.2022 Year 7 Visual Art students have been busy making and creating this term. Students have been investigating patterns with inspiration from contemporary art and Indigenous artworks. Fantastic!

05.01.2022 While it was PNG’s 45th Independence Day yesterday, it was also the Year 12 fun day. Upon their return, the tired international crew settled into pizza and soft drink in the ESL room, to celebrate the (near) end of their school lives. They haven’t been able to travel home to PNG or Hong Kong for eight months and really don’t know when they will see their parents again. Nor will their parents see them graduate or share with them the special occasions of the formal and the Yea...r 12 Recognition and Valedictory Evening! These young people are so stoic and accepting of the situation. Luckily most (but not all) have close family - including many Concordians - that they have been staying with in Brisbane during all their holidays this year. We wish them all well in what remains of this particularly challenging year so far from home, and hope that those parental hugs are not too far away!

05.01.2022 A Midsummer Night’s Dream auditions were a huge success with over 90 students getting involved in the production! The positivity and enthusiasm of the students was fantastic, from the first student at 8.30am all the way through to the last at 4pm! A special thank you goes to the amazing Arts Captains who supported everyone and made sure a good time was had by all. The teachers were so impressed with the standard of the auditionees and congratulate every single person who took the opportunity to audition for this production.

04.01.2022 HSC celebrated the term’s learning today with our Festival of Learning. Our preps had a great time designing Marble Runs as part of their Design and Technology. Check out their learning journey.

04.01.2022 We have been very sad about not being able to hold our usual Open Day events in 2020, so we built a virtual Open Day experience for you to explore. Visit www.concordiavirtual.com.au to see what we came up with. We challenged our staff members to have fun and show Concordia's personality putting together the many (over 45!) short videos for this site and...well, you'll see! Let us know in the comments which video is your favourite. :)

04.01.2022 The holidays are here, but for our Year 12 students, it's revision time! Many members of our Year 12 teaching staff are volunteering their time over the holidays to offer additional tutorial sessions to our Year 12 students over the next two weeks. This is at no additional cost to students and their families. Our teaching staff will be available in person and online for students who are preparing for the first ever external assessments in Queensland, in line with the new ATAR... system. Many thanks to Mr Mathews, Mr Robbie, Mrs Rohde, Ms Bowen, Mrs Goodman, Mrs Heuschele, Mr Hoddinottt, Mrs Jayasuriya, Mr Wolbers and Mrs Smit for being available over the coming weeks. Best of luck to our Year 12 students!!

03.01.2022 Come along and create some magic with us!

03.01.2022 HSC’s Festival of Learning. Year 3 and 4 hosted the Invention Convention. If you need a device to help you find your glasses, cast your fishing rod or catch nits, then you probably need to visit the Years 3 and 4 students. They have a solution for any problem. Great engineering, 3s and 4s.
