23.01.2022 Money raised from our markets supports many worthwhile causes. Concord Rotary’s President Angela, joined the End Polio train ride on Friday. On behalf our Rotary club she presented a cheque for $4000 to the District Governor Warwick in support of the project. The eradication of polio is one of Rotary International’s longest standing and most significant efforts. Along with our partners, we have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide and we won't stop until we end the disease for good.

05.01.2022 Hi Market Lovers... Setting up and packing up a market is no small task. Shown here is the crew that did most of the heavy lifting last Sunday. The boys are from Homebush Boys High School Interact Club (Interact is a branch of Rotary for young people). The Rotarian on the right picks up the boys and takes them home (not his only role - see below). In return for their hard yakka, the Boys from Interact get the day's "Bucket" donations and an egg and bacon roll. The Bucket came... to $459.20 which they donated to their chosen charity - in this case the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. Well done all. The bloke on the right is Peter Smith. As indicated earlier he is a Rotarian - of the rusted on, never-say-no-to-anyone-who-needs-a-hand type. He Ubers the Boys around, wrangles them when on site, and liaises with the charities. When he's not doing that, he... ...well we don't really know what he does, but he never sleeps when there is community work to be done.
