25.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS // Our fold out brochure and the GBART booklet are both available now at locations across the Southern Downs & Granite Belt. In the coming weeks you will also be able to pick one up in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and many other places in South West Queensland. Both publications combined are pretty amazing and represent the incredible talent and creativity we have in our region. If you are a local - start spreading the news! CCART on the 17th/18th October and GBART on the 30th/31st October and 1st November. These two events are just what your metropolitan friends and family are looking for to get a true taste of our beautiful and vibrant region.

24.01.2022 Sue Hamlet Creative had a fantastic day yesterday in the Warwick Art Gallery Studio. She will be working on an original painting this morning and running another workshop this afternoon. We can highly recommend the workshop with some of the Warwick Art Gallery team joining in yesterday. 22.01.2022 ARTIST PROFILE LOUISE TAIT Louise says "give yourself permission to create" and we agree. If you are a beginner to the world of art and craft we can definitely recommend that you book into one of Louise's workshops to kick start your own creative journey. Louise has established Studio Style Inside Out as the go to place for art play and skill development in MANY artforms including mosaic, watercolour, printmaking and much more. Saturday 17/10 Botanical Clay Wall Tile Work...shop. Using air dry clay create a botanical imprint wall tile to take home as your CCART souvenir. Drop in or pre book - plenty of places available. (Classes 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm. 1.30pm. 2.30pm) Sunday 18/10 Teacup Heart Mosaic workshop. Using a selection of mosaic tiles, you will create your own Teacup Heart wall decor planter. 22.01.2022 Warwick Art Gallery is a must see venue on the CCART Trail. In addition to their two exhibitions "Interconnection" (Warwick Artists Group) and "The Cherry on Top" (Jayde Clacy) they will have artist Sue Hamlet working in the Studio for the weekend. Sue Hamlet Creative is a long term resident of Warwick. Her career has encompassed graphic design, interior design, community development, counselling, mentoring, community education and workshop facilitation. Starting in 2020, S...ue now balances her time between creating optimistic and uplifting works on canvas and facilitating artistic/therapeutic workshops. She hopes to help visitors to discover the value of art for self-care and the power of visualisation for increased wellbeing. Sue is a generous communicator with a background in counselling keen to create a positive experience for visitors while she works. Sue’s work evokes hope, curiosity and wonder about the inner and outer world. Sue believes that art has an important role in connecting people to themselves and to each other. 20.01.2022 Meet Susanne Keong and her adorable studio. St Luke's Studio in Freestone is located in the heart of farming land with views east to Great Dividing Range and west to the rolling hills of the Southern Downs. St Lukes was once a church and it has been renovated into an art studio and home. Susanne draws on landscapes and colours of the country to produce sensitive, flowing pieces that focus on colour and arrangement of everyday scenes. 2D Artworks using pen, pencil, acrylic, w...atercolour and oils sit comfortably with clay, upcycled steel and limestone sculptures depicting the fleeting moments and a sense of nearness and harmony that we feel with our natural environment. 19.01.2022 Local Warwick artist Louise Tait is the driving force behind Studio Style Inside Out. Our trail would not be complete without featuring Louise! Louise is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Visual Arts at USQ. She is also an established mural artist and has murals in Allora, Warwick, and Stanthorpe and has sold artworks both nationally and internationally. Louise delivers group workshops in watercolour, mosaic, clay hand building, macramé, acrylic and much more. ...She firmly believes that being creative is good for the soul and welcomes newcomers to art, as being creative has proven health benefits - ART is for EVERYONE. For three years she has been making and selling candles, honing her craft and making her range of high quality, fragrant candles. 12.01.2022 Another of Warwick's long standing art clubs joining CCART is the Warwick Potters Association. The Potters will run demonstrations over the trail weekend between 10am to 2pm. You can have a try yourself for free. You can also join them for a traditional country style exhibition opening at their studio on Saturday from 6pm to 8pm. Details on this COVID safe event will be available soon. The Warwick Potter’s Association Inc. was formed in 1973 by a group of likeminded folk inte...rested in pottery came together to learn, conduct workshops and look to the future of pottery on the Southern Downs. Regular pottery classes for advanced and beginner potters are offered in all facets of pottery including hand building and wheel work. Members meet weekly and firing of pottery in the kilns is coordinated by an experienced member. New members are mentored by experienced and trained members to introduce them to the various sections of pottery. Visiting tutors are invited throughout the year to conduct workshops in different aspects of pottery. See more

08.01.2022 Welcome to our Trail Nikki Malone and her Nikki Malone Studio. Nikki Malone is a local Warwick artist who has been creating art for the past 20 years. Nikki had her first solo exhibition in 2002, and has been exhibiting work annually in duo and group shows ever since in a number of SEQ and NSW galleries. A passionate painter, Nikki paints predominantly in oils, but also loves to experiment with a variety of different art mediums. She shares her love of art by holding regu...lar workshops from her home studio in Warwick. Nikki also often travels to teach workshops in different locations in QLD and NSW. 05.01.2022 Meet Christopher Hulme and his Christopher Hulme mosaic studio. Christopher is a mosaic artist specialising in glass and ceramic mosaic. He works from his studio in Warwick. He has created several large mosaic works for both public and private gardens. Mosaic artwork is an addictive craft with so many beautiful applications. Chris will offer 4 x 2 hour classes in mosaic over the CCART weekend. Participants will be offered a choice of surfaces and can use glass, mirror, ceramic tile or a mixture of materials such as stones, shells and beads. 03.01.2022 Also joining our trail are the Warwick Spinners and Weavers. This much loved local group is one of the oldest spinning groups in Queensland, established at the height of the wool industry in the late 1960s. Today they are a dedicated group of people, involved in all facets of the fibre arts. Their activities cover all facets of the fibre arts including spinning, weaving, crochet, knitting, dying and felting. Over the Trail weekend members of the group will be demonstrating spinning, weaving, solar dying and twining over the CCART weekend. You can also join in a workshop to learn Felt Flower Brooch Making with Judy Donnelly or Weaving without a Loom with Janice Flood. 01.01.2022 The Warwick Artist Group Inc. has promoted and supported the visual arts community in the Southern Downs since 1962. Over that time, it has provided the opportunity for members and non-members to extend their practice through learning programs that seek to engage and enlighten participants. Warwick Artist Group will join CCART for a weekend of creative ways to embellish silk fabric and try your hand at Watercolour Pen and Wash.
