25.01.2022 TOTAL FIRE BAN + SEVERE FIRE DANGER - SATURDAY 28 NOVEMBER | Residents of Condobolin and surrounds are advised that the NSW Rural Fire Service have declared a TOTAL FIRE BAN for tomorrow, Saturday the 28th of November 2020. A SEVERE Fire Danger Rating has also been issued for Saturday. Visit www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/tobanrules to learn about what you can and can't do during a Total Fire Ban. All Fire Permits are automatically suspended during a Total Fire Ban. The Bureau of Meteoro...logy advised that tomorrow is going to be a very hot, dry and windy day - with heatwave conditions extending for a number of days to come. NSW Health is urging people to take necessary precautions to avoid heat stress and to continue COVID-19 safe behaviour during the heatwave. As the weather heats up, motorists are also reminded it’s not only an offence for children or pets to be left unattended in a vehicle, it can be deadly. Everyone needs to take care in hot weather, but some people are at higher risk of heat illness, especially if they are older, live alone or are socially-isolated. If you can, it's a good idea to spend some time in an air-conditioned building. For more information please refer to the Beat the Heat website: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/environment/beattheheat Livestock and pet owners are also being urged to ensure adequate clean water is always available and that shading is provided where possible. Additionally, no animals should be left in confined, unventilated areas. Members of the public should also regularly visit the NSW Rural Fire Service website at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au for updated bush fire warnings and information.
