25.01.2022 I feel for all the couples out there going ahead with their weddings despite these restrictions. As an industry the wedding industry is struggling but I can’t imagine how hard it is for these couples to go ahead. Their (limited) guests can’t mingle. They can’t have the all important father of the bride dance. They can’t have their loved ones up celebrating with them. It’s one dance here in south Australia. 05.01.2022 South Australia is not the only state with heavy restrictions on their weddings. New South Wales lets only 20 people (the same 20 people) on the dance floor. Victoria you can’t have weddings at present. In Queensland you’re restricted to 100 guests (or 30 if outside or at home) This is crushing not only the wedding industry as a whole but also the many brides and grooms who are having to keep changing their wedding plans. 02.01.2022 6 day lockdown from midnight. Stay strong SA. BREAKING NEWS: New COVID-19 restrictions will see SA go into lockdown for the next six days starting at midnight tonight. South Australian Premier Steven Marshall says: "As of midnight tonight we need our state to pause for six days to stop the spread and keep South Australia safe and strong." ... All South Australians are urged to stay at home unless you are accessing essential services. From midnight tonight: - All South Australian schools with be shut down - Gyms closed, outdoor exercise prohibited - Regional travel discouraged - Pubs, cafes, restaurants, and food courts will close - elective surgery will be cancelled. - Open inspections for real estate will not go ahead - Wedding and funerals will be cancelled in the next six days - Aged care and residential care will be in lockdown - The construction industry will be closed. - Supermarkets and petrol stations will remain open. - Childcare will be available only for essential workers. - Masks must be worn in public.
