14.01.2022 #NAIDOCWeek is a time to celebrate the history, culture and achievement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe, this year recognises the history of the First Nations people. Like streams of water, flowing together to become one, #NAIDOCWeek2020 gives us a moment to connect with the history of the First Nations people, and merge our past, present, and future in confluence with the yesterday and tomorrow of this country.... For 65,000 years the First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent. For thousands of years to come, we will continue to connect, remember, and respect the First Nations’ people, their history of this country, and continue to carry on their stories and spirit for generations to come. And so do our teams.

03.01.2022 Our team members were provided a set of tools to help them with #ruokday? today. It included: 1. Minties - the strong flavour of mints help us to be mindful of what we are experienceing, to think about how we feel in the moment. 2. Chocolate - the age old remedy that provides comfort, compassion and a little sweet delight. 3. A Bandaid - representing healing and to remind us that while bandaids may help us to physically heal, sometimes wounds are not visible and the healing p...rocess can be long and complex. 4. A coin - representing value and to remind us that we all have value and collectively we add to each other's value. 5. A puzzle piece - representing that each of us are a wonderful tapestry or puzzle, and whether in a family unit, with our friends or working in an organisation, our individual pieces make up a whole. At Confluence Water we believe in being mindful, showing compassion, supporting others, recognising each others values and recognising that, as individuals, we are great puzzles, and together we are a wonderful, colourful picture.
