18.01.2022 Huge shout out to Colleen and Ian Graham for their annual Boxing Day fundraiser. At a snail’s pace this year they raised $434.60. We really appreciate your annual fun and games that contributes enormously to the ongoing running and maintenance of our Brigade.

17.01.2022 John Toby - a huge thanks for $1010 raised on NYE from a bucket collection at Holiday Haven caravan park. PLUS $444.50 from bottles and cans collected across the caravan park. John & wife Michelle, parents Rob and Lynne, father in-law Tony and brother Jeremy and family organised a fancy dress NYE party - the theme First Responders. John has been coming to Lake Conjola for 43 years and last year was the first Christmas they have missed as they went on a family cruising hol...iday. They felt guilty that they weren’t here to help fight the fires, so this is their way of helping this year. We know that this has taken a lot of effort and time out of their family holiday and we truly appreciate all of their efforts. The Conjola Brigade will use the money to help equip the new training room promised for 2021.

16.01.2022 Conjola and Manyana Brigades were very fortunate to each receive a generous donation from the V8 Club. Peter Gow, the President of the V8 Club arranged for some the car owners to meet with our Brigade members on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning down by the Lake. Thank you - there are always many new pieces of equipment that we can purchase with donations such as these.

16.01.2022 Bendigo Bank - Milton gave our Brigade members Give Vouchers to spend in local businesses. What a fantastic way of saying thanks to the Brigade as well as putting money into local businesses. Congratulations Bendigo Bank on such a wonderful idea that gives twice

13.01.2022 Every day you'll find #NSWRFS and Indigenous communities working side by side, sharing knowledge, experience and culture - it's a partnership we're proud to be celebrating this #NAIDOCWeek

13.01.2022 This video, produced by Narooma RFS, provides a powerful view of the devastating fires from firefighters perspective. This time last year our Brigade, like hundreds of others across NSW, was out every second night for 12-14 hour shifts for weeks.

13.01.2022 Emilline, who live in Sydney and whose family have a holiday home here in Lake Conjola, came today to collect Emilline’s prize from the Get Ready Day poster competition. Congratulations On such a great poster entry.

13.01.2022 Lynne and Rob at Pilgrims in Milton appreciating their $30 voucher from Bendigo Bank. The pancakes and banana bread were amazing. Thanks Bendigo Bank and Pilgrims.

13.01.2022 Three ways you can prepare at home to address spot fires. Thanks Mudgee Brigade for sharing

12.01.2022 Fire ratings for tomorrow- Saturday 28th is VERY HIGH. All fire permits are suspended from midnight tonight.

12.01.2022 Very soon you will see a change in the way bush fires are displayed on the NSW RFS website and the Fires Near Me Ap. These changes will bring consistency across the States and Territories. We will post more information as this is implemented in the coming days and weeks.

07.01.2022 Do you know where the Fire Danger Rating Signs are in your village? Next time you drive into your village make sure you look for it and take a note of the rating for the day. One of your Brigade members changes that rating every day. It is just one way that we can communicate with you. What do those ratings mean? Follow the link below to find out more information about what these ratings are telling you. ... https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-pre/fire-danger-ratings See more

04.01.2022 Members of the Conjola Brigade would like to wish you all a safe and happier 2021. For those of you who lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods and precious possessions in the fires this time last year, take care, be kind to yourselves and to each other. The Brigade has appreciated the support it has received from so many generous donations following the NYE fires and importantly some new members to boost our crew numbers. Donations have been used to purchase new equipment, make ...improvements to the shed and start saving for equipping the new training room promised for the coming year. Please resist having a backyard fire on NYE or letting off fireworks. Whilst the latter is illegal, the sound of fireworks and the smell of smoke may be traumatic for those who lived through the firestorms in Conjola Park and surrounds this time last year. If you are inclined to make New Year’s resolutions, maybe volunteering with the Brigade could be yours for 2021.

03.01.2022 Fiona Phillips took time today to visit our Conjola Station and chat with a few of our crew about their experiences during last fire season. She showed a genuine interest in the voluntary work of the RFS and listened to concerns raised.

02.01.2022 This morning we all received our Bushfire Emergency Citation, hats and badges from the NSW Premier. This was in recognition of our contribution to the unprecedented 2019-2020 bushfire crisis.
