10.01.2022 We continue to be thankful to the fire fighters and other emergency services workers who are spending their new year protecting communities and holiday-goers ac...ross New South Wales. SUFM teams on the NSW South Coast are all safe and have sufficient supplies of food and water. Teams at Lake Conjola, Ulladulla, Burrill Lake, Lake Tabourie and Bawley Point currently have no power and limited communication, are finishing their activities early and will return home as soon as roads are open and it is safe to travel. All other SUFM teams in New South Wales are continuing as normal. We continue to pray for all communities across New South Wales who have suffered loss due to the fires. Glenn Coombs Interim State Director

06.01.2022 It is a privilege for our SUFM teams to camp and minister in holiday communities along the coast over summer. We are praying earnestly for the bush fire situati...on across the state, affected communities, and firefighters and other emergency workers who sacrificially and tirelessly give their time and energy to keep us safe. Earlier today, Lake Conjola SUFM was evacuated from the caravan park due to the fire situation. The team followed its Bush Fire Survival Plan and RFS advice, and has since returned to the caravan park when it became safe to do so. All are safe. All SUFM teams have Bush Fire Survival Plans to ensure the safety of our volunteers. Our Emergency Response Team is monitoring the bushfire situation closely and supporting our teams. We are also aware that parts of the south coast south of Sussex Inlet are now experiencing a power outage and mobile phone outage as both main supplies to the area are down. We have been in contact with all teams this afternoon and confirmed that all volunteers are safe, and will provide further updates as we can. Glenn Coombs Interim State Director
