24.01.2022 Concerning news for endangered & vulnerable beach-nesters, including little terns, hooded plovers and pied oyster catchers that nest and raise their chicks on/near Conjola Beach. It’s always special when we see them (from a safe distance!) on Conjola tours

22.01.2022 One of our favourite weeks of the year - the Aussie backyard bird count starts tomorrow This week on Conjola tours & Fishermans Paradise eco-walks we’ll be including bird counts - come and join us and/or do your own count wherever you are in Australia! #backyardbirdcount #birds #Conjolatours #Kotahitourism

20.01.2022 We hope you're all having a good first week of spring. Thank you all for your wonderful support for Conjola tours and this page over the years A heads up that we're going to have a go at merging this page with Kotahi Tourism's page next week. That way all our Kotahi Tourism tours and education programs will be on the one page. You'll still get all our latest posts about Conjola tours (via Kotahi Tourism's page), but our previous posts on Conjola tour page won't be visib...le. We hope that's ok with you all - just let us know if you have any questions, and please feel free to share any special Conjola tours posts you'd like to keep on your timeline. Um, should also add, we're not 100% sure Facebook will allow our 2 pages to merge - we'll find out next week! Thank you

20.01.2022 If you’re thinking about a holiday - come to Conjola. It’s gorgeous here #holidayherethisyear

17.01.2022 #howstheserenity This awesome view is one of many you’ll see on Fishermans Paradise eco-walks - looking toward Lake Conjola from the bank of Conjola Creek (taken yesterday). We’re noticing daily changes as the bush regenerates after floods and fires- and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors on tours again soon!

04.01.2022 Tripadvisor review: Fishermans Paradise Eco-walk "Once again, a really enriching experience. After taking Melinda and Hohepa's Lake Conjola Eco-walk last year, we had to try this one. They are such humble, generous and thoughtful guides and so knowledgeable about the local area and environment which they care deeply about. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. We learned so much and came away with a real appreciation of the local bush and h...ow the community is coming together to manage recovery efforts after the bushfires. So glad these tours are available - thank you!" South NSW eco-tours depart daily - Conjola tours 10.30am and Fishermans Paradise Eco-walks 3pm, or book a walk at a time that suits you. Gift vouchers are also available #KotahiTourism #tripadvisorreview #ecotourism #visitshoalhaven #southcoastnsw #Conjola

03.01.2022 What was the tour highlight? 'Everything! The guides were knowledgeable, genuine and great with kids.' Tour feedback survey October 2020

03.01.2022 #NAIDOC2020 #Respect About the NAIDOC 2020 theme: "Always Was, Always Will Be. recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We are spiritually and culturally connected to this country.... This country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant Nations. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. Australia has the world’s oldest oral stories. The First Peoples engraved the world’s first maps, made the earliest paintings of ceremony and invented unique technologies. We built and engineered structures - structures on Earth - predating well-known sites such as the Egyptian Pyramids and Stonehenge. Our adaptation and intimate knowledge of Country enabled us to endure climate change, catastrophic droughts and rising sea levels. Always Was, Always Will Be. acknowledges that hundreds of Nations and our cultures covered this continent. All were managing the land - the biggest estate on earth - to sustainably provide for their future. Through ingenious land management systems like fire stick farming we transformed the harshest habitable continent into a land of bounty. NAIDOC Week 2020 acknowledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 or 1606 - with the arrival of the Dutch on the western coast of the Cape York Peninsula. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples. Our coastal Nations watched and interacted with at least 36 contacts made by Europeans prior to 1770. Many of them resulting in the charting of the northern, western and southern coastlines of our lands and our waters. For us, this nation’s story began at the dawn of time. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations. It’s about seeing, hearing and learning the First Nations’ 65,000+ year history of this country - which is Australian history. We want all Australians to celebrate that we have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet and to recognise that our sovereignty was never ceded. Always Was, Always Will Be." 02.01.2022 WALKING ON COUNTRY "Beautifully filmed in the Shoalhaven, ‘Walking on Country’ captures the unique experience of what connection to Country means to a number individual Aboriginal community members of the region. The video highlights a strong message that connection to country is a vital element of Aboriginal people’s cultural heritage, identity, spiritual beliefs and affinity to the cultural landscape."

01.01.2022 Oh, the views We visit 3 look-outs on Conjola tours and the walking route includes lakeside, bush and beach. Check out the latest tour recommendation on this page from our lovely visitors on Mondays tour
