22.01.2022 WELCOME TO CONNECT CT MICHELLE! Talking Towers Speech Pathology’s director, Michelle Petersen, is a speech pathologist with 16 years’ experience in paediatric speech, language and literacy difficulties. She is committed to supporting children and families who are experiencing difficulties and frustrations in the areas of communication (speech sounds, language development, stuttering, voice disorders, literacy) and meal times (feeding difficulties and extremely picky eating).... Michelle is currently the only locally-based speech pathologist in Charters Towers, and will be providing services from Connect CT from Mondays to Thursdays. Michelle is able to see privately-funded clients, self-managed NDIS participants and plan-managed NDIS participants. Medicare and private health fund rebates may apply. No GP referral is required (unless seeking Medicare rebate) and clients are able to self-refer. Given the high demand for services, a waiting list applies. 12.01.2022 TransitCare is dedicated to providing transport services to assist elderly people, the socially isolated and people with disabilities so they can live independe...ntly in their own homes and remain connected to their communities. Anyone can use the services of TransitCare. TransitCare is also registered to provide services to NDIS participants. We are commencing services for clients who live in the Charters Towers and surrounding area. Clients need to be registered with TransitCare before they can access transport. This can be arranged by calling us on 4774 5497 (Townsville office) 7:30am - 5:00pm, and our friendly staff will be only too happy to assist you. Bookings for transport should be made no later then 11:00am the day prior to travel. TransitCare provides a pre-booked, door-to-door service. Our clients travel to: -Bank/post office/accountant etc. -Medical/Hospital appointments -Pharmacy or Allied Health -Library, swimming, gym -Hairdresser/personal grooming -Visiting family and friends etc. Our Services in Charters Towers will initially be operating from 7:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. The cost of our service is $7 each way within the limits of Charters Towers. If a trip to Townsville is required, the cost will be $14 each way.
