21.01.2022 Hi, Hope you are all well! Look forward to catching up in a couple of weeks. 'A Night with a touch of Glam' is going to be great. A fun dancing band 'Men in 'Bl...ack' are playing, front bar drink prices, gorgeous cocktail food served throughout the night and a champagne or beer on arrival. Henley Sailing Club are being fabulous in supporting our event to raise as much money as possible for our great cause. Come along for a night of fun and dancing- we don't do it enough I say!!! 26th July 7pm-12 midnight $50 a ticket We aim to raise $10,000 for Daw House Hospice on the night. Why not get a group of your friends together? Tickets can be purchased by depositing $50 per ticket in the following account. There are only 200 tickets and they are presold only! 20.01.2022 About New Hope Cambodia Siem Reap . . . One of the poorest slum areas in Cambodia.This environment places families at high risk of falling victim to child traffickers. For this reason, New Hope Cambodia’s activities and programs address the daily issues facing families in crisis situations. Connect Adventures is working with New Hope to raise much needed funds. We are organising a family bike riding adventure through Cambodia. On this adventure we will spend time with all those involved in New Hope including the community it serves. You and your children will develop a life time bond with this community.

16.01.2022 Siem Reap Cambodia Cycling Tour, October 2016 > > "A fun, challenging and rewarding holiday that you will not regret." These are the words I use to describe the eight day cycling expedition though the Cambodian city and countryside of Siem Reap. > > Fourteen of us, all from Adelaide, made a pledge to each raise a minimum of $3000 for the Daw House Hospice Foundation before departing for Cambodia. ... Preparation before leaving and whilst in Cambodia, Mark Nelson and team answer all your questions and prepare you for all aspects of the trip; including assistance with fundraising ideas, what to expect in Cambodia, flight details, accommodation, etc. > > We rode an average 40 to 50 kilometres a day through a variety of landscapes, including: dirt roads, jungle terrain and a mountain, all the while passing local villages, rice fields, farming communities and animals. There were ample opportunities to stop and visit local sites, including many temples, a silk farm, village markets and a magnificent waterfall. > > Our brilliant local tour guide and his team were superb. They were organised, friendly and extremely helpful. Any issue, on the bike or otherwise, was managed efficiently - nothing was too much trouble. Tasty food and drink was always available in substantial amounts to keep us going. > > There were many highlights and incidental events that made the trip a success. However, the overnight stay on a floating village, swimming in South East Asia's largest lake, riding up a mountain in a stunning tropical environment, having local children greet you as you ride past their village, fantastic lunches and dinners and getting to know and spend time with the cycling group were my favourites. > > In addition, the local hotel we stayed in Siem Reap was centrally located, comfortable, staff friendly & helpful and the pool, a nice haven after a day's riding. > I highly recommend this cycling adventure. 05.01.2022 Congratulations to all of the team involved in the Cambodia bike ride challenge for raising over $68,000 for the Daw House Hospice. That's a totally of over $170,000 raised over the last two years. Unbelievable effort!!
