25.01.2022 The core of SEO is a blend of questions and answers. People visit search engines (like Google and Bing) to find answers to their questions. Thats it. The search engines job is to locate the best answer to a given question. When you properly perform SEO, you are creating a roadmap to help search engines locate your content and match it up to a given question. SEO - explained No voodoo, no magic. Just plain and simple questions and answers.... The one thing you can do to help you succeed in SEO is to start to think about who you serve, what questions they ask, and how you can help answer those questions.
25.01.2022 Keeping it real. The below is unfortunate but the truth at the moment.
25.01.2022 When it comes to digital marketing, it all starts with one question. If you have the answer to that question - you will be able to build your strategy from that point onward. Getting the right answer is what will enable your prospective lead to see the real value of your product. This question is simple: What makes my product/service different from everything else?... This may seem obvious, but it is far from the truth. We live in a world driven by competition, and as long as there’s a service or a product that exists, there will be a demand for it. But the question is why choose your product? What makes it special and why should your client choose it over the product for a lesser price that is being sold next door? Consider the following sub-questions to help you determine the unique selling points of your product or service: Does it solve your prospective client’s problem in a completely new, revolutionary way? Does it offer the benefits no other competitor has offered before? Does this product force your prospect to think about their problem in a new way they have never thought about before? Does your product or service make your potential lead feel new emotions (excitement, surprise, curiosity)?
25.01.2022 Black Friday are you ready to take part in re biggest digital sales event. Tips from our advertising campaign managers. Start the week before BF, go big the week before and the weekend before, when there's less competition, then ramp down to the point where we are mostly sitting out the BFCM weekend, then making a last push on Cyber Monday.... Launch BFCM sale at least a week before BF and some two weeks prior. Clients who are already offering their max discount will likely be stopping all discounting in October, so their BFCM offer has more impact. Begin actual sale on BF, but begin messaging about the sale two weeks prior with ads designed to get ad engagement. Launch ads a week before BFCM with some early-bird messaging (code to email subs + loyalty ads on FB/IG). The day before BF, begin automatic sitewide discount, and official sale starts Thursday (Thanksgiving) night.
24.01.2022 My complete inability in the past six months to find balance is based on the failure to stop caring about our clients and partners, and the COVID norm we find ourselves in. Im obsessed with my clients, their success and challenges. COVID continues to stretch Connected Culture. Professionally and mentally, the steepest learning curve ever. ... We operate at the coal face of Small Business. The ground is pretty close for most; its not hidden in corporate structures. A wrong decision has real implications. We help build and try to protect businesses. We hold our clients hands during this challenging time. We keep on mastering, stretching our understanding We communicate the truth in a situation; We know we address both business and human behaviour. We care and take our advisory role in the partnership very serious; its personal. We passionate about: * New digital consumer behaviour and how marketing looks different in the social-digital age. * The significance of content marketing and the metrics used for its measurement. * Search Engines and how they are central to digital marketing success. * Strategies that convert best on Google * Leverage social networks for mobile advertising. * We are building social proof across social networks. * Location-based mobile marketing and how it fits into an omnichannel approach. * The strategy involved in creating the customer journey.
23.01.2022 The Connected Culture team wishes you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, filled with peace, love and happiness and lots of Christmas cake! We want to say a big THANK YOU for entrusting us with your digital marketing during this challenging year and we look forward to many more adventures in 2021. As we draw to the end of 2020, we're taking some time off to rest and recalibrate and come back even stronger. We're going to assess what's important to us (people, values, goals) and make plans for them. And, yes, we're even putting Zoom meetings on pause for a while...
22.01.2022 Google rolled out one of their notorious Core Updates last week. At the time, we weren’t sure how big the update was or how it’d affect search results but some data came in over the weekend, and it’s time to take a look at the wreckage. This was the biggest algorithm update in 2020. We may see some corrections and updates over the next couple of weeks Pinterest and Wish were some of the big-name losers from the update. This probably won’t offend any people in the SEO commun...ity, many of whom think Pinterest ranks too high, anyway. https://searchengineland.com/googles-december-2020-core-upd
22.01.2022 PSA: Daylight Saving Time ends tomorrow. Guess it makes not one iota of a difference since were all living in the Twilight Zone thanks to COVID-19! Any plans for that extra hour?
22.01.2022 Facebook takes on Zoom, Microsoft with Messenger Rooms. Shares of Facebook rose 3% Friday following its decision to add a feature to its social media platform. The new functionality will allow users to take advantage of video chat capabilities, in the hopes of grabbing some market share from competitors.... Messenger Rooms will allow up to 50 people join without a charge, and it looks quite a bit like the Zoom interface. Based on the stocks reaction, investors like that Facebook is defending its turf by coming out with a competing video chat platform. Whether itll eat into Zooms business or not remains to be seen, but adding new features has been part of Facebooks long-term success for years.
22.01.2022 BOOK RECOMMENDATION SERIES Since many of us now have a lot more free time on our hands (well, thats debatable in the CC house), the Connected Culture crew wanted to share our book recommendations. Todays recommendation comes from Cat, our Facebook ads specialist. Shes always loved writing, but English being her third language, shes had to work extra hard when it comes to playing around with words, grammar and, most importantly, writing sales copy.... Were almost hesitant to share this book tip though, because its SO good! It teaches you everything you need to know about writing good copy (and increase your sales). Wether youre a copywriter or not, being able to identify good copy is an extremely valuable skill to have and can make the biggest difference in your business! So... have you read it yet? What do you think?

21.01.2022 What a weird year, right? If someone had told us around Christmas or New Years that we would have a situation on our hands in a few months where a global pandemic would turn everything totally upside down, we probably wouldnt have believed it. Even as the COVID-19 crisis is happening, it is difficult to comprehend just what has happened in a few weeks.... Companies are shutting their doors to force workers to go remote for social distancing purposes. Schools are closed, and parents are forced to homeschool or do virtual lessons with their kids. There are fewer cars on the road causing pollution, and there is no traffic in most major cities. Entire countries are voluntarily shutting down their global economies to keep vulnerable citizens safe from an invisible enemy. Its just a unique time for all of usespecially if you have an online part to your business or purely e-commerce business. While you might be concerned that this doom and gloom you see in the media is going to tank your entire enterprise, the truth is that the situation right now is excellent for selling products online with paid advertising. Why? There are many upsides to this crisis that could trigger a flood of opportunity so you can take your e-commerce business to the next level while the rest of the world decides to eat their time away, watching Netflix and chilling. For example: Email open rates are way up. That means there are more significant opportunities to get more attention, boost your sales, and forge unbreakable bonds with your community thatll pay huge dividends during this crisis and after. Social media posts are getting more likes, comments and shares. Thats because people have more free time these days, which gives you an excellent opportunity to spread your message and boost your following while the rest of the world (including your competitors) sit on the sidelines. Ad costs are way down. Partly because most people arent advertising as much because theyre frozen by fear and uncertainty, this allows you to boost your exposure and take advantage of the increased traffic on social media sites for a fraction of the cost several weeks ago. Its up to you how you see the . I remain hopeful and continue to believe in the human spirit. Keep safe and sane. Ta Elzanne
21.01.2022 Its been really interesting to me to watch what has happened to our social media use over the past few months. While all the data hasnt trickled through yet, weve certainly seen some pretty juicy facts come out. Facebook released a statement that showed in Italy during the critics they noticed 70% more time being spent on their apps (Facebook & Instagram). Wowsers, that is a pretty significant growth for something we already spend a LOT of time on. Views of Instagram and F...acebook Live video views also doubled in just one week! Messaging increased more than 50% and group calls through the social platforms went up 1000%. But what does all of this mean for you? The simple facts are - more people joined social media platforms, got comfortable with using them really quickly and while restrictions are easing in many states, we cant unring that bell. Social media just got a WHOLE lot more important for you. Social media is where youre going to build your community. Tell your brand story. Reach new audiences. Engage people and ultimately, drive them to the outcome you need to hit your targets this year. Whether those targets are awareness, sales, service-use, customer attraction, ticket sales or healthcare it doesnt matter. Your audience is on social media, and therefore, you should be doing it well. you can use it effectively to drive outcomes this year. Heres what we can help you with: - How to answer when they ask: why should we invest in social media? - The 3 platforms working best in 2020 - Why you dont need big budgets to do social well - Where to focus your attention for the biggest outcomes I want to inspire you, help you see the potential applications for your business and give you confidence in knowing what steps youll need to take to get that success in this digital world. If you want to get social media right this year, this is the call you dont want to miss. Cant wait to see you online. https://calendly.com/connectedculture/30min
20.01.2022 When you want to reach out to your audience you need to remember one important fact its all about THEM (not about you). . Next step? Create an avatar (your ideal customer) and then talk to this avatar by communicating with them in way that they will understand no boring sales pitch, no crazy jargon. ... Keep your message simple and direct. Its not about using big words to show off your vocabulary; its about how much you can help them. Thousands might read your message, but you need to write it as if youre selling to just one person at a time. Tap into their emotions by creating meaning and connection.
20.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day from the entire Connected Culture team
19.01.2022 How to protect yourself and others Everyone must practise good hygiene to protect against infection and prevent the virus spreading. Practise good hygiene by sneezing into your elbow or a tissue, dispose of the tissue, wash your hands and use sanitiser... If you have a confirmed case, you need to isolate yourself to prevent it spreading to other people. #weinittogether

10.01.2022 Good advice for us grown-ups. I ask everyone to make an extra effort in coming months to reach out to each other, even in very small ways; to encourage and support our community; to acknowledge even difficult news with a proportionate response, and to be as practical and positive as possible. There is no doubt that this will be a memorable period in our girls lives. 10.01.2022 Even the hard lessons learned in failure become an integral part of our success in every way, provided we have the ability to get up and dust ourselves off and get back on the horse. The obstacle is the way, and the journey is what provides us with so much value in life. Once you get over the emotions involved in integrating some hard lessons, its actually quite easy to bounce back and get on your feet again once you find the courage. This is why we dont seek to work with companies that chase exit strategies and top-line revenue. We seek to work with passionate leaders and businesses that find ways to add value and profit in the long run, being resourceful when obstacles come our way.

04.01.2022 Below message Ive share with my friends and family. I wanted to post it here on my business page. Share it, please. WOMAN especially has a hard time to say No, permit yourself this time. During the coming days, I will start leading with a No of love ... No thank you, cant meet for that quick coffee even if we 5m apart. No, my child is not coming for a play date. No thanks to the small bbq with just close friends. No, you are not welcome in my home. Nor should I be in yours as we flatten the curve together? Were are fortunate with local close friends and fantastic neighbours. We are going to stick to our lane together if at all possible. My No stems from a place of humans first and civic duty. Social responsibility to self distance, to then move toward self-isolation as each day unfolds and follow sound medical and public policy is the collective responsibility. Its what gives us the best chance to protect the lives of the vulnerable and give our economy the best opportunity for a good future... Im forever an optimist and speak the language of love not fear. I lead with No, and I meanElzanne xx

03.01.2022 E-comm Attribution simple answer to complex question. FIRST VS LAST CLICK If you want to increase sales at example CoolTshirts.com.au you count on your blog which is featuring in buzzfeed for example or do you increase your facebook advertising spend ? ... The real question is: should Your Customer purchase be attributed to buzzfeed or to facebook? There are two ways of analysing this: First-touch attribution only considers the first utm_source for each customer, which would be buzzfeed in this case. This is a good way of knowing how visitors initially discover a website. Last-touch attribution only considers the last utm_source for each customer, which would be facebook in this case. This is a good way of knowing how visitors are drawn back to a website, especially for making a final purchase. The results can be crucial to improving a companys marketing and online presence. Most smart markertors analyse both first- and last-touch attribution and display the results separately to make effective decisions. Hope it helps. Ta x Elzanne See more

01.01.2022 What does it mean to have a successful business? Knowing how to quantify your idea of success is an essential part of every strategy. Whether youre aiming to grow your own sales pipeline or help a client increase their email audience, you need to think carefully about what success looks like to you because its not always clear-cut. That tends to be because of the way many businesses measure different results interchangeably. For example, we might find ourselves... guilty of mixing up key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and using them synonymously. (Theyrenot the same?) ? In business-speak: A metric is a quantifiable measure used to track the progress and success of a certain area of your business. In non-business-speak: A metric lets you know how youre doing in numbers. A metric will help you understand the performance of whatever task youre measuring. For example, a sales team might focus on the number of new prospect conversations it has each week. ? A key performance indicator (KPI) is a measure that tells you how well your business is progressing towards one of its most important objectives. However, a KPI is not the objective itself. It helps you track against a goal. KPIs are a great way to signify what really matters to your business at a given time. ? Metrics measure the performance of different areas of your business. On the other hand, KPIs measure the performance of the metrics that are most important to your overall business objectives. See more
