12.01.2022 The technique of connected breathing can be used to help soothe ourselves when feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed or depressed. It can help to facilitate deep relaxation & release suppressed emotions or negative thoughts. Practiced commonly in many types of yoga, this ancient breathing technique involves breathing without any pauses or gaps between inhales. This means that the in breaths merge with the out breaths & the out breaths with the in, in one continuous motion. To try it, simply relax your body and focus your attention on your breathing. Just by doing 20 connected breaths in the morning and in the night, it can help you to increase your overall sense of mental wellbeing, relaxation and stillness.
