19.01.2022 NaNoWriMo - Not a foreign language, it's a thing you can get involved in. National Novel Writing Month. The aim is to write about 1,600 words per day in November so you can make a 50,000-word headstart on your novel. Not going to happen?! :-) BUT... what if you used the momentum of all these writers to kickstart your blog? NaBloWriMo. Yep, that's my thing.... Hang on, don't I write for others? Well, it's easier to be objective then. The trouble I have with my own blogging is there are so many things I want to write about, I can never decide on the right topic. So I don't start. (Sound familiar?) How about if I could test out 30 ideas? I've already started, and while I'm not hitting my word target of 800-1,000 words yet, the key is daily consistency. My progress: 1 Nov (530) 2 Nov (260) 3 Nov (660) 4 Nov (320) I'm pretty chuffed that there are some words coming out. Melbourne lockdown really sapped my creativity and this outcome is extra promising. Drafts are good, I'm at least parking some ideas. Always wanted to get your blog (or novel) up and running?
