25.01.2022 There are some days that prove a little tougher than others, and today had it's moments! This afternoon saw two student's not overly prepared to engage due to other things happening at the time that had their focus. In these circumstances, sometimes compassion and understanding outweighs content. To sooth the tears, it appeared that drawing while talking it out was the remedy.... After around half an hour, we were then working productively. All it needed was some time. We can't expect student's to learn positively when they are in a poor headspace as they begin to associate learning with negativity. Sometimes we need to step back and recognise what is best for the student at the time. The outcome was me being given two lovely drawings which I will always keep with me as a reminder of her perseverance. Even though it was a tricky time, I am proud of her effort this afternoon.

24.01.2022 Good afternoon on a beautiful sunny Tuesday afternoon, We have been quiet lately (mostly intentionally) with COVID throwing a spanner in the works for most of us, and allowing families and students the opportunity to adjust back into normal schooling. It has been a remarkably busy time in conducting online lessons and providing free online learning materials (quite literally thousands of worksheets and activities emailed during isolation).... There are some exciting announcements coming over the next week or two in terms of operation, but in the meantime, we have been nominated again for the 2020 Golden Crow Awards. 23.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, I have been experiencing some issues recently with being able to access communication via Facebook Messenger. If you have sent a message via Messenger in the last month or so, please understand that I have been notified that it is there, messenger just hasn't let me open it.... 23.01.2022 After a long, tiring and sometimes stressful week with new Covid-19 restrictions in schools, finally some good news! I am excited to announce that Connect Tuition is a finalist in not one, but THREE categories for the 2020 Golden Crow Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted. It has been a difficult year for everyone, so it is very humbling to have my little business acknowledged by the community.... Winners are announced on the 18th of September.

19.01.2022 Tonight is the night, but unfortunately I'm not there! Very proud to say that a few weeks ago Connect Tuition was named as a finalist in the 2019 Golden Crow Business Awards. The awards ceremony is tonight, but with a big weekend of rehearsals for Strictly Ballroom the Musical I thought it might be too difficult to back up tomorrow! Win, lose or draw, it's a great opportunity for business in Wagga to showcase the amazing work they are doing.... 18.01.2022 Connect Tuition is looking for interested families and students to take part in a new online tuition format commencing during Term 1, 2018. If you find it hard to get your children out to meet tutors, and you're not comfortable with having tutors in your home, this might be the avenue for you to access that extra help your children need. 16.01.2022 It has been a huge start to the year, and here we are about to begin term 2 and things are getting busier. It is quite exciting that I have been nominated for the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber 2019 Golden Crow Peoples Choice Award. It is humbling knowing that our clients value our service and deemed it worthy to nominate me, so i extend my sincerest thank you to those who nominated. 14.01.2022 It's RUOK day, and now more than ever it's important to check in with your loved ones. Check in with your kids. They have been through a year of upheaval, losing access to school, their friends, their extended family and their routine. The one constant they have is you. Don't assume they know they can talk to you is they are worried/stressed/anxious. Let them know that you are there.

09.01.2022 Would you like to win a $50 Coles Gift Voucher? We are conducting a survey until the 8th of March. The purpose of the survey is to gather information regarding why families in regional areas do or don't access tuition for their children and what we can do do engage families in out-of-school learning for their kids.... We have been sourcing information that may be able to help out foster parents when it comes to finding out-of-school help for their kids.
