23.01.2022 When a man saw a snake dying and being burned to death, he decided to take it out of the fire , but when he did, the snake bit him. The bite caused excruciatin...g pain, the man released the snake and the reptile fell back into the fire and was burning again. The man tried to pull it out again and again the snake bit him. Someone who was watching approached the man and said: -*excuse me, but you're stubborn! Don't you understand every time you try to get the snake out of the fire, it's going to bite you? The man replied: -*the nature of the snake is biting, and that's not gonna change mine, which is to help. So, with the help of a piece of iron, the man took the snake out of the fire and saved his life. Do not change your nature if someone does harm you do not lose your essence; only take precautions. Worry more about your conscience than your reputation. Because your conscience is what you are, and your reputation is what the rest of you think. And what other people think, is not your problem... it's their problem. #snake

13.01.2022 I am actually sitting here almost in tears knowing what these poor children are going through. I know because I dealt with this kind of behaviour when I was at school; and from what I remember I didn’t really have much support when I really needed it, instead I was told that it was my own fault... That I had to change who I was for it to stop. And still to this day I still think that when a human being attacks me with words that I am the problem, that It’s because of who I am.... This absolutely disgusts me. I have even as an adult been called fat and ugly etc; by people I used to deem my friends, and little do these people know that those words affect my every day life. It gets to the point where you begin to believe the pathetic words that the bullies say about you. I now believe that I am ugly and fat and I believe that everyone else’s actions towards me are my fault. This touches a nerve of my own... And whilst it’s extreme, I do believe that children and teens should be charged with adult charges of assault etc. And that a school needs to step up to the plate and realise that they’re failing children within their grounds. 05.01.2022 Online bullying is not ok. Online bullying is not ok. Online bullying is not ok.... Unless? Online bullying is not ok. But what if she deserves it? Online bullying is not ok. Online bullying is not ok. Davina off Married at First Site doesn't have to be your cup of tea, you don't have to like her, or approve her actions. But she has been repeatedly called a slut, whore, media whore, home wrecker, scumbag, I have even seen her blamed as the "reason for domestic violence in this country" on line and it's not ok. If you want to be an example to young people, to victims and to everyone then remember. No ifs, no buts, no "unless?" And no "she should have thought about that before...." Online bullying is never ok.
03.01.2022 40 years ago an incredibly brave group of people took a stand for equality and justice against bigotry, hatred and violence in what was our very first Sydney Ga...y and Lesbian Mardi Gras What followed was a community wide struggle for acceptance, recognition and access to the same rights, not more and not less just the same, as their fellow citizens. Tonight they celebrate their identity, their unity and their courage to stand up against incredible odds and hate and come out proud for who and what they are. On behalf of us all at The Cyber Initiative I am very proud to wish everyone a very Happy and Amazing Mardi Gras. May our LGBTIQ Community always be wonderously proud of who we all are.
