24.01.2022 My home as featured in Queensland Homes Magazine last year. Like all good homes it's constantly evolving, with new art filling the walls and newly acquired furniture and furnishings moving in. Yesterday we shot parts of it again and I can't wait to share all the lovely new layers!

20.01.2022 Breakfast Point Entry This awkward little entry was dark and anything but welcoming. Our brief was to make this space feel lighter and brighter, more elegant and refined. We opted for a pop of Misty Moss on our custom made corner console to compliment the double gourd in sea green, setting the tone for the ocean inspired palette to come. ... We added the lamp for an ambient light at night and the mirror to invite more light into the space during the day. And welcome home! Our entry has light, style and grace. This sofa was custom made with a reduced seat depth to ensure our client was able to reach the floor with her feet (something taller people take for granted!) This is the third sofa in recent times where we've customised the seat depth to suit the client. ... I needn't have worried; Kate is a consummate professional but she is also extremely down-to-earth and relatable. 03.01.2022 Fun fact: I studied textile design before interior design and so fabrics are my thing. I am a qualified interior designer and take on renovations from time to time, but often work as a decorator because I'm happiest and most at home working with fabric. This is always my favourite part of the project, building the layers of pattern, texture and colour into a scheme .. and then applying them to each element in the room. Understanding weights, rub counts, fibre composit...ions and fabric structures (what can be used where and why) is key to investing in boutique fabrics and to guarantee the performance and longevity of each piece in your home. The shoot is intended to showcase our Designer for a Day service and will feature in Queensland Homes next issue! This shot captures the essence of the space.
