DIN stands for Director Identification Number, and is a new Commonwealth Business Register that identifies the directors of an organisation. All existing and new Directors will be required to register for a permanent unique number, whether they are an active Director or not. This new regime allows for an individuals traceability across companies which aims to identify failed companies and prevent the use of fake identities.
