A victory won by cheating robs Truth its voice and its demonstration. Normally this works. Once upon a time corruption and deception could hide in the shadows of ignorance. It could twist meaning and upend reality without resistance or recourse. Fraudulent promises of freedom could easily lead us into the perpetual prison of false hope.... Not anymore. There are now enough of us who See through the wicked hoax. This Seeing is the Light of Truth that dissolves the darkness and reveals the Reality of True Freedom in Peace and Love. Over the next little while, then, it is important to notice your reactions. Giving up and going along with the crowd will be tempting. Equally, in the face of a firm and decisive victory, not giving up will give rise to discouragement and hopelessness. Both reactions give darkness its power. Hold the Light. The student expected Mead ...to talk about fishhooks or clay pots or grinding stones. "But no. Mead said that the first sign of civilization in an ancient culture was a femur (thighbone) that had been broken and then healed.
