You don't need a script for these. Copper Intrauterine Device (IUD) Can be used as emergency contraception up to 7 days after unprotected sex Can be left in for general contraceptive purposes afterwards And no, taking emergency contraceptives too much is NOT bad for your body. They can be an expensive course of action if taken regularly and don’t stop you from getting STIs, so it might be worth a trip to your GP to figure out a more cost effective form of contraception.
