21.01.2022 What a huge weekend! We've had so much fun at #CPACaustralia, and meeting like-minded friends at our Next Steps stop. We're heading to Melbourne next - and looking forward to seeing you there!
21.01.2022 Behind the scenes, we're hard at work building our first website, writing organisational documents and sorting out things like bank accounts, and debating policy in the lead-up to our "official" launch. The age of the fearful conservative has ended - the Conservatives will put forward a hopeful, aspirational and ambitious vision for a GREAT AUSTRALIA governed by Great Conservative Values. We could always use a hand - so if you think you can help out in any way, don't hesitate to get in touch! Your contributions, no matter how great or little, will help to make this Australia's Next Great Conservative Party.
20.01.2022 Banning Australians from climbing Uluru because it's "sacred" is just the first step - we must stop Australians from enjoying ALL of our country's most treasured landmarks. No more swimming in the sacred Great Barrier Reef, no more sports on the hallowed grounds of the MCG, and certainly no more climbing, driving or training across our sacred Sydney Harbour Bridge.
20.01.2022 Building a new political party from scratch is never easy - and building it properly is even harder. Legislation doesn't actually specify who "owns" a political party - which is why the former AC was dismantled on the whim of a single person - and so we've been working to ensure that there's no legal way for a single person to dismantle the new Conservative Party of Australia on a whim. Over the next few days, we'll be announcing dates of meetings for the creation of state-ba...sed Associations open, operated and owned by Conservatives members. These Associations will operate under each state's laws and will own assets and accounts of our state branches. Each of these Associations will, in turn, own and operate a holding company that will own the assets and accounts of the Federal Conservative Party of Australia. There is clear ownership and accountability - it will not be possible for a single individual, or even a single state, to dissolve the New Conservatives. We've also given a lot of thought to governance. An interim executive is currently in place, acting until the election of the Leader and Executive at the 2020 ConCon. To strike the right balance, the National Committee of the Conservatives will comprise five members elected popularly from the membership as a whole, six members representing each of the State parties (but only once recognised as a State Political Party by each state's Electoral Commission), plus the popularly elected Leader - who will be empowered to break ties of the National Committee. We now need you to join up, to spread the word, and to volunteer your ideas and your energies to help create the Next Great Conservative Party. Join today, participate in Policy Forums, help out on organisational Committees, volunteer for State Executive roles - and help us create something amazing!
19.01.2022 Hey CPAC Australia, any chance we could get a "NO BINGO!" from Dr. Ahmed, just for old time's sake??
19.01.2022 When governments tell us that small businesses and essentials of life are too dangerous, but protests are fine, then it's time for governments to go. Go out and support your local businesses! Go and celebrate life! And never ever forget that Labor and Liberal Governments are not on your side. #ReopenAustralia
18.01.2022 Great Success! Now that we've banned climbers from enjoying our sacred Uluru, we can start banning Australians from enjoying our other sacred sites!
18.01.2022 Are moves to ban cash transactions over $10000 really about closing down the "black economy" - or about tracking and controlling our spending? We want to hear your opinions and your ideas - so we invite you to participate in our Policy Forum and help craft Conservative policy on the Cash Ban.
16.01.2022 Although 2019 was a tough year for Australia's Conservatives, we've put down the groundwork for an amazing 2020 and beyond. So - it's time to reveal that we've been working behind the scenes to help form the new Australian Federation Party - together with our colleagues across the country, we're one of many groups who'll be working together to get Conservatives elected at Local, State and Federal elections. As we've said from the beginning, we're not here to just be a minor p...arty, or just to "have a voice in the conversation". We will be working to earn your trust every day with great policy and great candidates, working to build a party that's Ready for Government. If you haven't already signed up, now's the time to show your faith and commitment to Conservative Australia. So - join our Federation! It's free to join until the end of 2019, so click the link below! We formed to make the Conservative voice relevant to Australia. We absolutely believe there is "A Better Way" to "do" Conservative politics - one that can and will resonate with voting Australia - and we're absolutely proud to wear the label "Conservative". As for this group - we'll still be around - as will the other 12 (and counting) parties and proto-Parties in this new United Federation. We might debate (and maybe even argue) - but we're all on the same team and will ALWAYS come together for the good of Conservative Australia. https://australianfederationparty.org.au/free-membership-j/
16.01.2022 On the behalf of the Conservatives Federal Executive and our Australian Federation Party colleagues, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas and an incredible New Year.
15.01.2022 There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes of creating a brand new Great Conservative Party - and our interim Federal Exec and State Execs are working hard all over Australia. While there's a lot we can't openly share (though we'd LOVE to tell you all about it), we're eager to hear from you what you think we should be doing and what we should be prioritising. So - come and have a chat! Our Fed Exec and our State Execs are all eager to meet you! Let's make a time for coffee ...(especially if you're in one of the capital cities), then tell us what you think we should be doing, what you think we're doing wrong, and what you want to see more of. Even though we're a party of technology and reform, we won't build this party with grand gestures - this Next Great Conservative Party will be built by conversations between friends and colleagues. Send us a message - and, if we can, let's have a chat!
14.01.2022 We had an awesome time meeting our fellow Conservatives at the Melbourne Next Steps Meeting - and we'll soon be putting up Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide dates to complete our first lap of the capitals. We love seeing your energy, and look forward to working with you all to create Australia's Next Great Conservative Party.
11.01.2022 If you haven't already signed up, you might have missed our first email blast! Check it out - then hit the button to become a Founding Member of the Conservatives!
11.01.2022 While the east coast-based members of our founding team are enjoying coffee and hammering out policy and strategy inside a cafe, outside of it a Pro-Life choir of young people are singing to protect the innocent unborn. We are the future of the Conservative movement - young, energetic, ready to Win.
09.01.2022 You rallied Australia's conservatives under a united flag. We now fly that flag proudly! Thank you, Cory! - Conservatives Federal Leader Dan Sebastian.
06.01.2022 Australian governments spent nearly $125 billion of taxpayer funds in the 2016-2017 year, a 6.8% increase on the previous year, towards a $181 billion total spend. As Australians get older, and the Government healthcare system increasingly becomes unaffordable and unsustainable, what is the right strategy to keep Australians healthy and happy in the years to come? Help us form a comprehensive Conservatives healthcare policy - have your say in our Policy Forums.
04.01.2022 Happy Birthday, Australia! You're looking great!
