25.01.2022 It's about now that everyone is thankful that 2020 is over and done with, how shit the year was, 2021 will be so much better etc. Don’t get me wrong 2020 was tough for us all but the truth of the matter is that 2020 was only as shit as you allowed it to be. Things are never as bad as you feel they are and they'll never be as good as you wish them to be either.... That's life and if you’re planning on doing what you’ve always done in 2021 then you’re going to get exactly what you did in 2020. I don't have the perfect life (surprise, surprise) and the fitness was one of the industries hit pretty hard by COVID here in Victoria but I'm thankful for each and every day I got to live this year and while there were some negatives there were far more positives to come out of 2020. The major highlights of 2020 related to family and being able to supercharge my relationship with my kids and that is bloody priceless in my books. By default, 2020 will be better, but that doesn't belittle how great 2019, and every year before that was. Live in the moment, don't sweat the small stuff and focus on the positives (they are there, you just need to look for them). Happy New Year Peeps.

25.01.2022 There is one sure fire way to boost your metabolism and it starts with lifting weights! Building strength and increasing muscle is where it all starts. If you are over 30 years old then the natural ageing process will see you start to lose muscle and you will notice your metabolism starts to slow. ... It sucks but thats life. If you are not lifting weights regularly then you are doing yourself a massive disservice. FIRE is back this week and exactly what you need to build that valuable muscle. No travel time. Dont need to venture outside on those cold, wet days.... You can exercise in your pyjamas. Dont want to wear shoes? Then dont. Intense workouts done in 30 mins. 18.01.2022 PROBLEM: I dont have time to exercise. SOLUTION: Ill sign up for an 8 week gym challenge in January working out 1.5 hrs per day, 7 days per week. SEEMS LIKE A LOGICAL SOLUTION ... Youre smarter than that. Lets all do it better in 2020 for life long results. An effective and efficient workout regime takes less than 3 hrs per week. Finding 3 hrs per week is much simpler than 10+hrs per week.

16.01.2022 TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY Remember that time you actually stuck to the program longer than 12 months? No?... Not surprising really, the majority of people who feel that they want to lose weight struggle to do so because of one or more of the following reasons: They were looking for that quick fix, some miracle SECRET that was going to blow their mind and change years of bad choices in an unrealistic time frame. I hate to break it to you but this does not exist and will never exist, accept it and move forward. They were not willing to accept that they dont know everything and they second guessed everything their coach told them and continually looked for ways to cheat the universal laws of weight loss. They listened to the noise around them and put too much faith in those that "THINK" theyre experts in an industry they have not mastered. I get it that "your sisters best friend Mary has been trying to lose weight for the last 15 years without any success and feels that she knows exactly what needs to be done but she hasnt been able to achieve a result because of these 5 legitimate excuses for weight loss failure she has in her life". The bottom line is that Mary isnt an expert and she should stick to giving advice on what shes actually capable of achieving and if she does have advice she wants to share with you then you should politely decline it. They just dont want it that bad enough. Weight loss is difficult and if it doesnt sit at the top of your priority list then its never going to happen. It doesnt have to be the only thing in your life but 99% of the choices you are going to have to make in your life will have you asking yourself "will this help my weight loss efforts"? After doing this personally and professionally over the last 10 years Ive seen it all. I know what it takes to achieve something that is truly amazing. Im also fortunate enough to work with some of these extraordinary people across their journey and they get to keep the results that they worked so hard to achieve.

You see with this mind set youve already got a way and your setting yourself up for failure 99% of the time when youre sitting in this situation. Im talking the "Man, this has to change and it has to change now" type of first step.... Once you accept this type of mind set and you are all in on success then all you need to do is continue to put one step in front of the other and you naturally achieve the goal you put on your list. Its simple to wake up on the 1st January and make bold statements about how last year didnt go according to plan and how much better the following year will be. I see it year after year and it saddens me. ... Thinking that you can magically wish your way to a better life whether it be health and fitness related or not makes no sense at all. It takes a very special person to get the job done. Someone that can stand up and say "I committed to this, give me a plan, show me how to implement it and now lets get it done". The question isnt: "What are you going to do to get it done in 2020"? The question is: "How are you going to do it better, and for longer in 2020"?

05.01.2022 Imagine working a highly stressful job in your home office all day and looking forward to having your super-active kids come home from school so you can spend some quality time with them..... Edmund used to struggle through his day. He missed meals because he was "Too Busy", he lacked energy because he skipped meals, he missed out on a lot of quality time with his young daughters because he didnt have the energy. Does this sound familiar?... Edmund new he needed to invest some time in himself he was going to be more successful at life - work life, home life and family life. We put strategies in place to eat more and prioritize no more that 2 hrs per week to exercise so that he could get the life he wanted back and he implemented the plan well. If you want to get better at the things that youre not great at then you need to give it a little attention and work towards getting where you want to be.

03.01.2022 Hands up if you are starving yourself (rapid reduction of calories) today because of all the shit food and drink you consumed on the weekend? You may have put it down to "celebrations" or "emotional eating" or even as a "reward" for eating so well during the week. All of you have been following me for quite a long time now and you will know that one or two treat meals wont stop you from progressing. A whole weekend of binging eating/drinking will. ... If you are still caught up in the reward and punish roller coaster of weight loss then something has got to change because that is a ride that will never bring you happiness and is basically the worst form of torture for your mind, your body, your health, your self esteem and your metabolism. Get a routine in place. Embrace that routine (It will become your greatest friend). Stick to that routine. Monitor, evaluate and refine that routine until it becomes a habit.
