21.01.2022 SITE INSPECTION UPDATE.....Merida! A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Especially associated with the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, cenotes were sometimes used by the ancient Maya for sacrificial offerings. ... 04.01.2022 SITE INSPECTION UPDATE......Merida, Mexico Getting to Merida from Australia is not that easy or quick, yesterday I flew from Melbourne, via LAX, via Mexico City to Merida on 3 different airlines and it took me around 34 hours!! If you are joining us on our Around the World Journey in April, you will know that we fly directly in and out of Merida on our Private Jet which saves us a lot of hours in travel.... Jodie

02.01.2022 SITE INSPECTION UPDATE - Merida Today I visited Uxmal, an ancient Maya city of the classical period. It is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of Maya culture. The name Uxmal means ‘thrice-built’ in Mayan. This name refers to the construction of its highest structure, the Pyramid of the Magician which was built on top of existing pyramids and stands at 117 feet tall! ... This will be one of our A La Carte options in Merida. Jodie
