On Sunday I am getting involved for the #FredHollowsFoundation for the month of August and completing a 100km run + 1,000 push-ups en route around Brisbane. Regardless of the level of health, wellness and fitness we are all at, we can always improve, all it takes is for us to take that step. Whatever it is, fix that niggling injury so you can get on with life, start grad...ually improving what we eat and drink, or something else. 21.01.2022 Well it wasnt necessarily pretty across the day but the job got done. 100km, 1,000 push-ups yesterday for the #fredhollowsfoundation. A big thank you to my family coming to meet me for lunch (a big help @ 55km), and to friends who ran with me for a few of the legs. And finally a big thank you to everyone who sent messages of support throughout the day. Now the focus for the next few days is recovery - luckily I know a few good Physios and Exercise Physiologists! ... Stepping up to a challenge, whatever it is, is a great test and learning experience for all of us. Thats one of the key things I love about #adventure and taking on something that makes me feel a little uncomfortable. You always get to learn from it. Yesterday was no exception. In addition we will run an online strength and conditioning class great for anyone but particularly good for runners Friday mornings 6:00-6:50AM. No equipement needed but if available and appropriate we will use household items or free weights if you have them.
