17.01.2022 It’s been a while since we have posted a project update, but we have still been busy behind the screen and out on site even with government restrictions in effect. The project below is almost ready for hand-over and we hope our client enjoys many happy years in her new living, bathroom and kitchen. The photo below shows the house at the start of the renovation just after the garage and old deck were demolished, and the new landscaping and rear facade. The addition of large bi...-folding patio doors allows plenty of natural light into the home, and easy outdoor entertaining in summer when you can open the interior to the summer weather. The addition of pavilions linking the garage to the house creates an all-weather friendly pathway and outdoor area to the home and an appealing landscaping feature. 12.01.2022 Another one of our projects has reached another milestone. We have completed the cellar excavation and have begun construction of the timber frames. It has been a challenge completing the slab over the cellar during Melbourne’s lock-down so we are happy to be able to make progress and begin the form of this home. 11.01.2022 Time for another update. This project has been planned with the home-owner for a little while so it is great to see that earthworks have begun. And what a beginning! This excavation and brickwork are the commencement of an underground cellar which will eventually be underneath a lovely two-storey residence. The combination of misty grey tiles, and natural wood cabinetry make for a stylish and comfortable design. 07.01.2022 This has been an unusual project for us. We normally work in the residential space but we were asked to take on this commercial project - updating the Mechanical Ventilation System for a restaurant in Melbourne's CBD. It's been a big job for something that seems simple, replacing the ventilation system required plenty of permits, stakeholders and trades. Being a commercial property there were also numerous commercial Building Codes that needed to be met. 06.01.2022 Its business as usual for us still, even though as a state we are facing restrictions again. We have several projects under construction at the moment all at various stages. We are now installing the internal wall linings at this home and you can really get a sense of how the rooms will be. The feature staircase to the upstairs level is under construction and the custom designed cabinetry is underway. This will be a beautiful and comfortable home for the owners.
