25.01.2022 Who enjoys the process of moving houses? According to research from Digital Finance Analytics, about 1 in 6 Aussies will move within the next 12 months, 1.1m Aussies are planning to sell their homes soon, and most people will move on average, 11 times in their lives. Yes, you could move. But wouldn't you rather renovate? You know your area. You know what works well in your house... and what doesn't. And let's face it - no one likes moving!... . . . #renovationspecialists #brisbanebuilder See more
24.01.2022 Should you renovate or sell your Brisbane family home in 2020? . Renovating? Don’t over-capitialise. . It may seem obvious that you need to spend as little as you can now to add maximum value later. But when it comes to budgeting a renovation project, this is where many people come unstuck. A good rule of thumb is not to spend more than 15% of the total value of the property on renovating it. Most Valuers will not add more than this just because of a renovation. Obtaining ...a comprehensive Building Proposal from a Professional Builder as early in the process as possible may help to ensure you don’t start spending on an upgrade that won’t be viable. . 21.01.2022 Have you ever looked at a house and said, "wow"? This is what happens every time we look at our Chapel Hill House Extension. This Chapel Hill family approached us with a simple brief which was designed to better support their lifestyle: to extend a large open deck to the front of their existing home, to build in car accommodation underneath and to create a concreted area for their son to play basketball after school. And this is exactly what we created for them. Just check o...ut what we mean here... https://www.constructivehomes.com.au//chapel-hill-extensi/ . . . #brisbanerenovation #brisbanebuilder

17.01.2022 A sneak peek before we hand over another amazingly stunning home our team have proudly presented to our clients
17.01.2022 Searching for more space in your home? Well you can probably relate to this story of a client of ours... In our Hendra House Extension, our clients approached us searching for solutions to their problems of needing more space for their family, with two young teenagers. The parents were needing a space where the family could unwind after a busy day. Our client’s suggestion was to raise and build in under the existing home, however after listening intently to their wants, needs... and budget, we solved their problems by extending the upper floor level to include a spacious parent’s retreat, adding a master bedroom with a walk-in robe fitted out with well-planned cabinetry to meet the needs of working professionals. Off the walk-in robe, was a hugely spacious, well-designed ensuite with his and hers vanity, finished in Caesarstone bench tops with counter style basins. Full height wall tiling and exclusive tapware finished this resort style ensuite, to be the envy of any audience. The parent’s retreat leads to a huge deck which would suit the keenest of entertainers. Accommodating space for an outdoor kitchen with all the mod cons wired for Pay TV, internet connection and sound. Inside the existing home, the bathroom was extensively remodeled to include a separate toilet. All finishes were luxurious and complement this modern abode. We also repositioned the existing kitchen to give the home the open-living feel it deserves. This stunning kitchen was perfectly finished in 2pac shaker style cabinetry with 40mm Caesarstone benchtop. European appliances well equip the chef in the family, black kitchen sink and mixer tap gives this kitchen the contrast it so deserves. Incorporating space for a pantry was also included, well fitted out with wall-to-wall shelving and solar sky-light, giving light during the darkest of days. Check out all the pictures here... #brisbanebuilder #brisbanerenovation

14.01.2022 Home Design Trends 2020: Getting the Most Out Small Spaces, Both Outside and In . Our backyards are getting smaller, with block sizes shrinking and new residential developments across Brisbane choosing central parks over traditional big backyards. It just means that we have to be a little smarter in how we use that space. . From vertical gardens, to narrow lap pools, to built-in furniture, taking the time to plan the perfect functional outdoor sanctuary that makes the most o...f your space is the key. . Modern homes are getting smaller which means that renovation designers are being challenged to do more with less space. So that we don’t have to compromise on lifestyle, the spaces within our homes must be multifunctional. Multifunctional design solutions include multipurpose furniture, hidden storage and clever use of colour and sliding screens to subtly close off rooms. . 10.01.2022 Did you check out our work on our Alderley Contemporary Renovation? With this home in Alderley, we completed a full transformation from a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, and single living space house to a beautiful modern home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bath and 3 living areas. The house was raised and enclosed underneath to include a double garage, open plan living and dining, spare bedroom and bathroom and a stunning kitchen opening onto a large undercover patio. Upstairs the existing home was ...renovated, resulting in a master suite with WIR and ensuite opening onto a sunroom, second and third bedrooms, full bath and huge rumpus room for the children. We painted the exterior, lifting the façade but maintaining the character of the home. Our clients were able to reuse some of the gable windows but also added some modern awning windows to the front sunroom to ensure a constant flow of fresh air.
