22.01.2022 At La Maison, its our absolute delight and pleasure to feature an array of local wines. Todays favourite? The 2019 Col Fondo Prosecco from Dal Zotto Wines - a perfect pairing to our Vegan Sweet Potato Gnocchi served with Dukkah, Jerusalem artichoke, garden peas and vegan parmesan. This wine has nutty and yeasty like characters on the nose with lively floral aromatics. Citrus, ginger and toasted almond characters on the palate, finishing with a lingering creamy texture. Truth is, weve been madly trying to get through our kitchen reno so that we can! For the moment, were hoping to resume trading next Wednesday night, but we will have firm opening date to share on Monday!

What this means for us at La Maison is that we are unfortunately having to close our doors for dine in service from Wednesday. So we ask of you, our dedicated and community-minded customers, PLEASE join us for a last hurrah this Monday and Tuesday! 02.01.2022 Whilst were saddened that were closing our dine-in service as of tonight, well be bringing back our La Maison Market on BOTH sides of the Border! In NSW, our friends at Almar Organics will letting us make use of their space for a pop up market on Friday 3-6pm. There you can shop our menu and pick up your La Maison favourites. In addition to this, for our VIC customers, well have a pop up setting at the restaurant at the same time. And you can as always order our menu online and pick up from the restaurant.

02.01.2022 Today at lunchtime we witnessed something that took our breath away - and unfortunately, not in a positive way. This vision you see here is an ambulance trying to navigate its way over the border crossing at Gateway Island, just outside our restaurant. As you can see, it took MANY minutes for the ambulance to weave its way through the barrage of cars that stood in its way - all because (as we understand it) there have been "staffing issues" at border crossings. Whilst the pol...ice are doing a great job, it's just not enough. We're so saddened to see this - not only for the people inside the ambulance - but also thinking about all the small business owners, who have suffered immensely from these border-crossing issues (of which we are certainly in that category). We're emploring with the government to look at this situation and rectify it - not only for the businesses who have faced economic hardship - but also for those who are in dire need to regain some semblance of normal life again.
