25.01.2022 Double sided framing of an greeting card send from India.

23.01.2022 2018 team jumper finished earlier this year

22.01.2022 A project from earlier in the year. A very old photograph was a little worse for wear, so the glass, matboard, and backing was all replaced with Artcare, and TruVue archival products. The old sticky tape was removed from the backing and replaced with Japanese mulberry paper hinges, and to give more support, a sink mat was made so the photograph sits snugly inside before the matboard rests on top. 99% UV protection glass was then used to minimize any fading or discoloration.

21.01.2022 These large earrings have been framed the same size to fill in this awkward space. I have used a beautiful champagne frame and matching inner fillet framing the object, with a luxurious velvet matboard. They are hung using the Artiteq hanging system so it is easy to rearrange or replace frames without the need for holes in the wall.

21.01.2022 A sweet little ribbon embroidery finished this week, framed with Museum glass.

16.01.2022 A couple of gorgeous cross stitch embroideries framed with generous mat board margins to give them more visual substance when hung. UV conservation clear glass, and alphamat artcare mat board and backing have been used once again. These two will look good for years to come.

16.01.2022 Todays piece is a greeting card sent from India 30 years ago with a hand painted leaf on the front. The back has the original letter written and both side were to be displayed. The frame is quite deep with museum glass in front and perspex in the back. The back has then been finished off with a small ornate fillet frame to keep everything together. As usual it is conservation quality framed, so will be able to be taken apart in the future with no ill effects to the card.

16.01.2022 Hi there, I hope you are all keeping safe during these trying times! I have been keeping busy with work, but a little while ago I had my annual clean out of excess mat board off cuts which usually get donated to my teacher friends to use in their class rooms. This year however I have decided to give them away to people who may have kids looking for something artsy to do. They are in bundles of 10 -12 pieces of varying sizes and colors. All white on the back though, so perfect for little Picasso’s to draw and paint to their hearts content. If you would like a bundle, please make sure you comment on this post and like my page, and we can arrange a pick up time. There is a limited number of bundles and once they’re gone, there is no more. Only one per family please. Stay safe everyone x

11.01.2022 Thank you for the tag on the post earlier Ladies...as you can see I was busy doing cross stitches and embroideries today, so I missed it, but I appreciate your support! X

11.01.2022 Memorabilia of Vegas Baby!!

10.01.2022 Adele VIP memorabilia frame. Conservation quality framing which has been customised for a special client. A lot of attention to detail has gone into designing and manufacturing this frame package to exacting standards.

10.01.2022 What a difference a frame can make to a stretched canvas. This beautiful wood veneer frame gives the painting more of a presence on the wall, and the colour brings out the details of the bush scene.

07.01.2022 A couple of beautiful Christmas embroideries.

07.01.2022 It’s amazing what a good stretching can do.

06.01.2022 Start of week clean up...ready to go for the week.

01.01.2022 A small batik print on silk from Bali.

01.01.2022 What a difference glass can make! You may think all glass is created equal, but this photograph proves otherwise. I removed the glass on the right from a frame that was made in Vietnam. As you can imagine the green tinge to the glass will change the look of whatever is framed behind it. I replaced it with standard clear glass which is the middle pane, as per my client request, but the clearest glass is the conservation clear which is on the left. This glass has 99% UV protection and is ultra clear so it doesn't change the tone of your photographs and artwork, all while protecting again fading.

01.01.2022 A new client Trish came to me with this beautiful machine embroidery from a holiday in China. It had a border of thick material sewn around the edge. The thickness of the material made stretching very hard so along with my usual method I also had to lace the back of the embroidery. The end result is a perfectly stretched embroidery, with a single mat to match the existing decor, and a lovely Pewter frame. Finished off with Tru Vue Conservation Clear glass to ensure the stitching will not fade through UV light exposure.
