24.01.2022 Just some of the Progress on the rottnest ferry this week

23.01.2022 Sorry for the lack of updates in recent times. It has been a hectic 3 weeks with a lot going on in the world and at work. So here is a little video of Daves boat rolling out of the workshop headed off for a full re-spray after 3 months of cutting, modifications & reconfigurations. Also coming up with new ideas to suit the expeditions in the Kimberley this boat will undergo in the near future.

14.01.2022 Contour marine has given this little truck boat some new life after 25 years in service in the mussel farming industry in WA. We only had a 2 week window of opportunity to get the work done on Sea Horse before she was needed back on the water so we had to work fast and efficiently to get the job finished on time. New 5mm tread plate fitted, new engine hatch fitted, 2 new extra strong davits fitted, patch works done on pontoon, marlin board fixed and new battery box hatch mad...e the engine and leg was pulled out and given some new life too. We are confident the Sea Horse will be around for many years to come. Full credit to Alucraft Boats for building this tank of a boat they built their Boats strong back in the day and it shows. 11.01.2022 A must watch! A short video one of our clients put together of a trip he did earlier this year. Wow what a beautiful state we have! Dave wasted no time getting his newly refitted 9.3m Contour Marine special up north and into the action as soon as we had finished the mammoth 4 month refit on her. A week each at Dirk Hartog and Exmouth with several other boats, then 2 weeks at the Monte-bellos, and the grand finale was his 19 night solo from Derby to the top of the Kimberley c...oast and return. The boat left Derby with over 1700 L on-board and he used another 600L sourced from a pearl farm. Dave’s super happy with the performance and especially the range he got from the boat. Here’s some cool drone footage of each of the 19 anchorages he spent a night at north of Derby. 04.01.2022 Materials have just come in for our next job. We designed the parts on computer then nest the parts to best suit plate size order the materials and cut the job all in the one place.

04.01.2022 We are currently looking for a young apprentice to join our marine fabrication work shop in Henderson 6166. They must have good work ethics, eager to learn and be punctual. In return the right candidate will be offered a apprenticeship in boat building, work in a safe & friendly working environment.
