25.01.2022 With 2020 drawing to a close, we are looking forward to a busy 2021 from a new base in Canberra, our nation's capital. Contour Golf Design Group have lots of exciting projects starting, and nearing completion in 2021. From here in Canberra, six hours from Melbourne, three hours from Sydney and only 10 minutes to an airport(!!), we will be able to service our clients to an even higher standard! We wish all our clients and friends a very happy Christmas and New Year and look forward to a great 2021.

24.01.2022 This is nice, but credit goes to the site too.. you can’t get much better.

23.01.2022 Great to finally get into New South Wales to see our new 18th green at Cobram Barooga. Two front right bunkers, and one on the left. Lots of great pins, front right behind the bunkers and back left my favourites. Still growing in but might be open by the end of the year. #golfcoursearchitecture #golfcoursearchitect #golfcoursemaintenance #golfdesign #golf #sagca

23.01.2022 Flying into Hobart past Tasmania Golf Club where I’m presenting to the Board this evening!

22.01.2022 This would be a good spot to watch the action on 6 West (4 for Presidents Cup). Also 18 East (16th) and 2 West (18th). That grandstand is also behind the 1st tees (3 West). Hole numbers on the Composite seem to change every tournament..

22.01.2022 The approach shot after a good drive into the new 9th at Mornington. Fairway width doubled, new drive bunker, new relocated green. Still steeply uphill, but a much better hole than the original version Aim at the Spotted Gum with your approach!

22.01.2022 A great mid winter shot of our three new greens at Mornington. 18 at the front, 9 at the rear, practice green on the far right.

20.01.2022 Back at Yowani in Canberra to discuss the Masterplan and additional water storage options. These lakes were all bone dry a week ago. Expecting to know when this rebuild will start in a few months if all goes to plan!

19.01.2022 Tasmania Golf Club today. Very windy and chilly for the start of summer, and even snow on the Highlands! What a great course, that can only get better.

19.01.2022 Rossdale Golf Club here in Melbourne this afternoon. Appointed to prepare a Masterplan for the clubhouse surrounds, pathway network, outdoor wedding/function areas, practice putting green/short game areas and other practice facilities for this club that has really come back in the past few years. Great to be on the road again too, albeit only 40km from home during our ongoing lockdown!

19.01.2022 Neangar Park short course 5th green surrounds have been sodded. Turf basically dormant now so more grassing and construction will wait until Spring. Thanks Brendan Brown for sending these. #golfcoursearchitecture #golfcoursearchitect #golfcoursemaintenance #golfdesign #golf #sagca #neangarparkgolfclub

17.01.2022 I was out at Mornington this afternoon marking mowing lines on the new 9th hole which will open early this summer once the tees are finished. The new 18th and practice green are looking great and playing beautifully now with some good Spring growth. #golfcoursearchitecture #golfcoursearchitect #golfcoursemaintenance #golfporn #golfdesign #golf #landscapearchitect #landscapedesign #sagca #golflife #golfer #morningtongolfclub #morningtonpeninsulagolf

16.01.2022 This is the tee shot on the par 3, 8th at Tasman Golf Club at Port Arthur, Tasmania. Fairly sensible local rule it would seem! #golftasmania #golf #tasmanpeninsula

15.01.2022 Members presentation last night at Tasmania Golf Club. A good turn out and it went very well. Strong support for our redesign proposals due to Tasman Highway widening. Also Al Howard’s original 1971 plan for the course. #golfcoursearchitecture #golfcoursearchitect #golfcoursemaintenance #golfporn #golfdesign #golf #landscapearchitect #landscapedesign #sagca #tasmaniagolfclub #tasmaniagolf

13.01.2022 Rebuilding and reshaping some oversized bunkers at Kwinana Golf Club WA, on the 9th. Well done to course Super Peter Fleming.

13.01.2022 It’s great to be back in Hobart to continue work on resolving the Tasmania Golf Club / Tasman Highway project . There will be a new 16th hole, 17th tees, 1st green and 2nd tees, plus a new driving range played in the opposite direction to the current range. And most importantly, a new water storage dam as the existing one will be filled in. Depending on lots of unknowns, work will start later in 2021.

13.01.2022 Thanks to #mornington_golf_club for this drone photo that I have cropped. From the foreground we have the new 10th tees, 9th green, practice putting green and 18th green. Lots of design challenges with very steep slopes and elevation changes to overcome. A great result though and I can’t wait until we are out there playing again!#golfcoursearchitecture #golfcoursearchitect #golfcoursemaintenance #golfporn #golfdesign #golf #landscapearchitect #landscapedesign #sagca #golflife #golfer #mornington_golf_club

12.01.2022 A couple of drone shots of our new 18th green at Cobram Barooga which is under construction. Wasn’t able to get a Permit to cross the Murray river but I’m sure the guys up there will do a great job!

12.01.2022 The new 9th tees at Mornington all turfed thanks to the help of many volunteer members! The new hole will be open in a few weeks. The last photo is the 19th that we finished a few years ago.

10.01.2022 This is great news for Mornington GC. Nice for the new greens and clubhouse surrounds to have the desired impact!

09.01.2022 Neangar Park Pitch and Putt course is coming on. The 4th green is sprigged and growing in nicely. Surrounds will be turfed this week. Next green is the 3rd which has been rough shaped.

07.01.2022 A site visit yesterday to Midlands Golf Club in Ballarat to sign off on the new 14th tee and screen fence required due to the subdivision of the land next door for housing. I love my kids dearly, however it was nice to get out of the home office and circle the bay in a day! Eerily quiet on the roads and ferry..

06.01.2022 A great long weekend in Hobart playing Claremont and Tasmania Golf Club’s and attending the Hobart Cup!

04.01.2022 I’m pleased to have the opportunity to make sure Tasmania Golf Club moves forward and improves, despite the inevitable widening of the Tasman Highway. https://www.contourgolf.com.au/tasmania-appointment/

03.01.2022 I was back at Neangar Park in Bendigo this morning where work is proceeding on the 9-hole short course. A lot more work to be done here, with only the green and fringe grassed on the 4th green, and rough shaping on a few others completed, but It’s going to be great! The finished result will raise the bar for short par 3 courses in Aus!

02.01.2022 The plan for Tasmania Golf Club. https://www.contourgolf.com.au/tassie-detailed-design-comp/

01.01.2022 With the driving range fence underway, we can make a start on the last three holes at Neangar Park! Can’t wait to see this short course finished.

01.01.2022 The 11th at Tasmania GC looking stunning this afternoon.
