25.01.2022 I have been testing Bossjock on my IPad. It's an app that creates a soundboard where you can add sounds or music such as voiceovers or musical intros. I plugged... my iPad into my mixer put some audio tracks from #techwebcast and was able to hear and record them. Once you have loaded the tracks into bossjock you just hit the button marked with the track that you want to play, no fooling about opening audio players on the computer. Bossjock also allows you to record directly to the iPad. See more

20.01.2022 When I thought about creating my own Podcast I imagined it would be an interview style show that did not stick to one topic, but I have rethought or as they say today re-imagined it and I think I would now like it to be a History based Podcast. The reason for my change of mind and frankly procrastination is that for a Podcast to last you need to have a show that you feel passionate about. I learned this from my time on #Techwebcast Brad is passionate about tech and his show has lasted the years and is still going strong. So what do you think, would a Podcast on History interest you? I don"t yet have a particular period in mind. I have been listening to other History based Podcasts to learn and I hope I can create a show that grabs people interest, anyway let me know what you think.

19.01.2022 If you are of the belief that the US was founded as a "Christian Nation" as many US conservatives would have you believe this article may just enlighten you. So...me US conservatives have tried to right the founding fathers out of history, why? well read this article and you will get an introduction. Why is it important? Well the separation of power that so frustrates many religious conservatives was influenced by the founding fathers Deist beliefs. "The belief that God has created the universe but remains apart from it and permits his creation to administer itself through natural laws. Deism thus rejects the supernatural aspects of religion, such as belief in revelation in the Bible, and stresses the importance of ethical conduct."

07.01.2022 How do you view History? This might sound like a strange question but I remember during my school days that so many of my fellow class members openly wondered w...hy we bothered having history classes, how was learning about history going to help us get a job? It's all just stuff in dusty old books. I think a big part of the problem was the way history was taught. Even though the teachers I had showed little imagination in delivering a history lesson I still loved the topic. From the mighty Greeks and Romans through the Middle Ages, The War of the Roses and the age of enlightenment, and everything in between. I know many students of history have a particular favorite period of history but I am like the starving man confronted with a banquet, I just want to eat it all. Anyway getting back to my original question. How do you view history? See more
