08.01.2022 We understand that many families are hesitant about Telehealth as it is an uncommon practice in Tasmania. Frankie is more than happy to book an initial video conference appointment with parents to discuss their childs individual needs, goals and potential for therapy. An initial appointment gives Frankie the opportunity to gather information about your child and identify if Telehealth is an appropriate service for their needs. Telehealth provides clinicians, like Frankie, w...ith the opportunity to engage with children in their everyday environments and most importantly provide parents and guardians with extensive training and strategies to support the childs development. There is a common belief that therapist face-to-face intervention is a primary support for child development, when in fact it is parent education and parent commitment to home practice which results in substantial therapy gains.
