23.01.2022 Date of race next year.... Sunday 29 March 2020 (TBC).

21.01.2022 Attention all, This is an eleventh hour call for a team leader and ground support for the Convicts and Wenches 50 km trail run. Due 29 March 2020 I need someone to be the on the ground leader for the day itself. This task can be shared if need be. Also we need a small team of workers (10-15) to help the team leader. ... The race will fall over if no-one puts their hand up. I’m Stephen Cornelius, Ian’s son and as an observer I have seen my father set up this race for the running community, this event has challenges, it has comradeship, it has fun and has been building over the last 10 years as an event for the community. Now as I see it the community needs to support this event so the community can benefit from the challenges of the day and I will bend over backwards to bring it all together for you. If the community doesn’t want to support this race then I can put my time to over community projects that are on my plate. Yes this is a plea as i would like to see Ian’s efforts of establishing this event grow so he can be remembered. Hope to hear from you soon.

Ian has been positive figure in the Australian ultra running community for many years and he'll be greatly missed!... From all of us in Tassie - condolences to Ian's wife Cynthia and his family...
