Who would like to consider taking on the painting of a mural on the public toilets in Coobowie. The wall facing the road and the wall facing the car park are to be considered in your quote.... 12.01.2022 Monday 20th July Progress Meeting... Local police officer Nathan attended as a guest to assist in answering some questions on preparing an evacuation plan for the Caravan Park patrons and residents in the township of Coobowie. Progress will prepare a document that will assist in an emergency further information will be shared once a document has been prepared. Several more shrubs were planted around the animals at the hall during the week and should add a splash of colour on...ce they get established. Thankyou to the YP Council for cleaning up the remaining debris and soil burden from the right hand side of the road. Opposite the sand pit area on the Hickies entrance to Coobowie. 02.01.2022 Good to be back discussing Coobowie at a progress meeting. We did our COVID paperwork for tracing before we commenced. President Brian Klingberg welcomed members back after the lifting of restrictions permitted the meeting to be held back in the hall. Town Planning was discussed as Anne & Glennis work on compiling the information gathered from the community meeting and format a plan to present to the members.... The sand pit area still being pushed as a priority to be reclaimed and cleaned up. A thankyou was sent to YP Council for the great job of paving a section of Beach Road. Vickie & Garry Lohmann were thanked for the extra work and the commitment to meet the requirements for COVID during the last few months. Plus the ongoing paperwork and vigilance in the park to meet accreditation. Large dead trees in the playground are to be removed by council staff this week clearing the front part of the playground and tidying up the area. The front of the hall is looking great with the plants starting to take off. It was suggested we now need a dog to sit out by the sheep. So we are keeping an eye out for a genuine looking sheep dog..... if you see one let us know.... A seat will also be purchased and placed out the front of the hall as visitors are tending to sit on the rope fence. With the new night time lighting and surveillance system its proving a popular stop for our Coobowie visitors....
