19.01.2022 Megalong Icelandic horses looking for horse riders/trainers! Megalong Icelandic horses were founded in 2015 by David and Catherine Harris and is placed in the ...beautiful blue mountains. David and Catherine imported 11 top quality mares and a stallion from Europe, which has now grown into 100 Icelandic horses. About the job: You'll be apart of a team (4 riders) taking care of everything from feeding and overlooking the horses, to breaking in doing lessons and keeping our riding heard in shape. We are looking for somone: Who has worked with young horses from ground work to sadle Who is eager to learn about the Icelandic horses and their extra gaits. Who is interested to stay for a minimum of 4 months. Who has a drivers licence. At the moment we are 3 riders working, living and loving life together. (Hannah 19yo, Nina 19yo from Germany and Signe 20yo from Denmark.) We have two cars for both work and private use and a private pool for the hot summer days. 01.01.2022 To stay or to go? Backpackers... Opinions please? I have a flight home to England in a weeks time. I also have the option of applying for a third year in Auz, w...hich I originally wanted to save so that I could come back in a year or two. I obviously have reasons to go home, to see my parents, be with my pops for his 70th birthday, Christmas, reconnect with friends... it just feels like time. It’s looking pretty bad in England though, I don’t want to put myself or my parents at risk, I may not be able to find work. It’s a really tricky decision and I’m just looking for opinions. Has anyone faced the same choice? If anyone’s gone back to the uk recently how are you feeling about it? Thanks :)
