25.01.2022 And just like that we have hit 500 registered Woodside Nippers for the Season! It is great to see the growth in membership and more families joining our Club. Surf Lifesaving is an amazing activity for growing a child’s confidence, as well as providing a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the beach environment. Woodside Nippers is a great way to introduce your child to new friends, to be part of a community for life, and to just simply have fun! 25.01.2022 It's only been 1 week since we Introduced our New Nipper Program Starfish Nippers - Australia We have had an overwhelming response to this program and have limited spaces remaining. Who is it for? ... The program is designed for young people from Under 6 to Under 13 years with a disability, including physical and intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties, and can be modified to suit an individual participant’s needs so everyone can be included. What are the benefits? Based on the positive feedback we have received, it is apparent that there are not only benefits for our Starfish Nippers and their families, but for all of our Age Group Managers, Woodside Nippers and club members. 23.01.2022 Parking Coogee Beach SLSC Nipper Development Carnival Sunday 29th November 6.00am to 12.00pm... With our normal Woodside Nippers Program and the addition of the carnival please keep in mind that the car park with be extremely busy, so please plan your journey to the beach and be mindful of traffic. DO NOT park along the main entry verges where it is clearly sign posted 'No Standing' or along the main entry to the secondary car park. Overflow carparks can be located across Cockburn Road along Powell Reserve or the beach carparks North and South of Coogee Beach. To our local swimming and beach community, please keep in mind the stretch of beach that is being utilised for this our normal Sunday Nipper activities. We thank you for your assistance during this time which enables the Club to show case our beautiful stretch of beach and club.

21.01.2022 Please be advised that due to the carnival on tomorrow, Sunday 29th the Merchandise Shop will be closed. The Merchandise Shop will be open on Sunday the 6th and 13th of December, when we return in the New Year the shop will be open fortnightly. Alternatively, items can be purchased during Office Hours Tuesday to Friday 10am to 4pm. ... Monday we will launch our new window for Delfina Orders - items purchased in this window will not be available until the New Year.

17.01.2022 Our staff joined local residents and community members this morning to #find30 and participated in the City of Cockburn Cockburn Community Trek which is held in November each year. Healthy Cockburn - Live Better. Over the past few years this event has been extended to walk, ride and roll around local areas within the City of Cockburn with the consistent message we all need to share the path like we share the fresh air. Cockburn Integrated Health were also in attendance prom...oting the Healthy Lifestyle Service that aims to help people of all ages achieve long-term health, lifestyle and weight-loss goals. The service offers a coordinated approach to nutrition education, physical activity and fitness, mental health, and child specific services. Support is offered to all clients through personalised programs that are connected to local health service providers across the Cockburn area, including a program run Coogee Beach Fitness Club Heart Foundation Walking groups participated in the event promoting active walking groups is great for your health and way to meet people. After consultation from beach goers and local residents, the City have approved a 50-year Coogee Beach foreshore management plan. ... 16.01.2022 The Club have launched our next Bronze Course for the season. This course provides participants with the knowledge of patrolling and surf awareness to be able to participate in basic Life Saving Operations. After completing this course, you can undertake further training in a number of other awards including: Spinal Management Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificates (ARTC & AID)... IRB Crew and Drivers Certificates Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management Pain Management This is an 8 week course, with prerequisites which will be detailed upon request for registration information. The cost of the course if $150, in addition you will need to be a financial member of the Club. The fee includes a training manual, resuscitation mask, registration and resources. Coogee Beach SLSC will be providing the BBQ on the day raising important funds for the club alongside @fremantleslsc who will be providing tea an coffee. This is a great family event to attend and discover more about the rich history that the Fremantle Passenger Terminal has to offer.

10.01.2022 Our Nippers BBQ today will include... BBQ available downstairs being cooked by Friends of the Community from 6am with Bacon & Egg Rolls and Sausage Sizzle. Our Nipper Menu with light snacks and refreshments upstairs from 10.30am with Bar opening at 11am until 2pm.... We also have The Mobile Gelato Cart serving out some wonderful gelato flavours near the entry of the beach from 10am to 1pm. Boost Juice will be pumping out the fresh juices and smoothies until 1pm. Come along and support community and local business.

While some of our age groups were competing at Cottesloe, the rest were having fun practising their skills, swimming out to the pontoon, and learning from our lifesavers on patrol. One is located directly in front of the Coogee Beach Surf Club, the other is located north of the Club near the Coogee Beach Jetty.
