04.01.2022 BACK TO SCHOOL! It's that time of year again..... Here are a few tips to ensure your child has a happy and healthy start to the year: HAND WASHING: Soap and water and a hand gel sanitizer can do wonders for reducing your child's risk of illness. Encourage them to wash their hands before eating and after using the restroom to prevent the spread of germs and virus'.... DO NOT SHARE COMBS/BRUSHES: While sharing is a good concept, children should be taught not to use other people's combs or brushes as the spread of head lice is more common during the school year. EATING WELL: In addition to aiding the immune system in fighting off germs and viruses, a well balanced diet is important for brain health as well. Children have longer attention spans and retain more information when they eat healthy. GET PLENTY OF SLEEP: The body needs plenty of rest to be at peak performance both physically and mentally. Children who are sleep deprived are more likely to perform poorly at tasks and are more likely to suffer from frequent illnesses. If you have any questions please feel free to come down and see one of our GP's.
